Love youth sports and want to make a difference in our community? We are looking for a volunteer Basketball Commissioner to help lead our basketball program!

This is a great opportunity to support young athletes, work alongside our coaches and families, and help continue our tradition of providing quality youth sports programs.

You don't have to be a basketball expert! We are looking for someone who is organized, communicates well, and has a heart for helping kids succeed both on and off the court.

📣 NEW DATE - SAME GREAT FUN!

Mother Nature had other plans for this weekend, so we've made the decision to reschedule our 2nd Annual Matthews Fire & EMS vs. Matthews Police Department Softball Game to Saturday, November 14!

While we are disappointed to have to wait a little longer, we're still looking forward to an evening of friendly competition, family fun, and community coming together to support our hometown heroes!

All the fun is still on the schedule, including bounce houses, face painting, raffles, concessions, and a special appearance by Homer the Dragon! Plus, the Charlotte Knights will be joining us to MC the game!

🏀 Winter Basketball Clinics Registration is OPEN!

Want to get some extra work in before the winter season begins? MARA has two one-day Basketball Skills Clinics coming up this October!

👉 Sunday, October 11
👉 Sunday, October 25

Both clinics will be held at Mint Hill Middle School and are open to boys and girls ages 5 and up!

👉 Ages 5–8: 1:30–3:15 PM
👉 Ages 9+: 3:30–5:30 PM
👉 $40 per player, per clinic

🐝 STINGERS 10U OPEN TRYOUTS!

Our 10U MARA Stingers are looking to add a few players to their roster for the Spring 2027 season!

They are looking for utility players, first basemen, and pitchers who are ready to work hard, compete and be part of a strong returning core.

👉 Friday, October 23 & Tuesday, October 27
👉 7:00pm – 9:00pm

The team will compete in 8–9 Greater Charlotte tournaments, with additional travel tournament opportunities, including Pigeon Forge and Shipyard.
