It has been brought to my attention that the QR code on my original flyer expired, so I made a new QR code for my flyer.
I'll see everyone on Monday!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME: WE HAVE A PLACE TO HOLD CLASSES!!!!!
Moments ago, I made an agreement with Master Marr of Master Marr's Taekwon-do in Shaker Heights.
He will be allowing me to rent the second story of his studio for one evening a week! This will be HUGE for finally getting Lake Erie Gumdo Academy started in earnest. I feel so grateful for this chance I'm being given by Master Marr.
The goal is to hold the first official class on September 14th at 7:00 PM. Ideally, subsequent classes will be on Mondays from 7:00-8:30 PM.
There are more details to come, and I will do my best to get them posted.
..needless to say, I've got a lot to do in the next month!!!

Events have been moving rapidly the past couple days. Soon I should have some good news, but I don't want to say too much before things are 100% official.
I hope to have some good news in a few days.
Fingers crossed: we might have a place to train soon!

Here's a quick preview of a performance I will be doing at the Cleveland Asian Festival this upcoming Saturday at 3:45 PM.

Dear Potential/Future Students,
I just completed a visit with a martial arts school that I had been planning on partnering with for a while. While I loved the people, the culture, and the venue, the show stopper is the fact that the ceiling is not of adequate height for Gumdo training.
In other words, we're back to the drawing board as far as finding a place for me to establish a class. I don't have the financial means to open my own place from the get-go, so at first the Lake Erie Gumdo Academy will have to piggyback off of another established martial arts school.
I've tried local rec centers and even the YMCA. The YMCA won't let me train through their facilities for insurance reasons, and the local rec center thinks I'll trash their brand new building...or at least that's the excuse they gave me.
I did find a fencing school that was open to having me rent floor space, but I'd need at least 6-8 permanent students to justify the cost.
I'll keep you people posted when I have more to share. If nothing works out, I might just say "screw it" and teach Gumdo in my driveway. š¤£
