Progress looks different for every student.

For some, it’s earning a new belt.
For others, it’s finally remembering a form, speaking up, staying focused, or walking into class with a little more confidence than before.

Every step counts. 💛

And for families who have been curious about trying Team Tiger, our current back-to-school special is still available for new students: 4 weeks of classes and a free uniform for $9.95.

We’re incredibly honored to share that Team Tiger Martial Arts has once again been named Favorite Martial Arts School in The Monitor Readers’ Choice Awards! 🏆🐯

To everyone who has supported us, trusted us with your children, encouraged our students, and been part of our Team Tiger family, thank you. This recognition means so much because it comes from our community.

For eight straight years, you have allowed us to keep doing what we love - helping students grow in confidence, discipline, focus, and respect.

We’re grateful, proud, and more motivated than ever to keep serving McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley.

Thank you for believing in Team Tiger. ❤️

A few weeks into the school year is usually when parents start to notice what their kids need more of.

Maybe it’s structure after school.
Maybe it’s a positive place to burn energy.
Maybe it’s something that helps them feel more focused, capable, and proud of themselves.

That’s exactly why so many families find martial arts at the right time.

For new students, we are currently offering 4 weeks of classes and a free uniform for $9.95.

It’s an easy way to try class, meet the instructors, and see how your child feels on the mat.

Finding activities that give kids movement, structure, and social time can be tricky, especially when you want something that feels useful beyond just “keeping them busy.” 📚🥋

That’s one of the reasons martial arts can fit so well into a homeschool routine. Kids get to stay active, practice focus, follow instruction, and be part of something outside the house.

We put together a quick guide about homeschool activities in McAllen and how martial arts can support kids beyond academics.

Read it here 👉 teamtigerma.com/uncategorized/homeschool-activities-in-mcallen-tx-team-tiger

Martial arts is one of the most complete options for homeschool families because it combines structured physical education, character development, and a positive social environment.

Today we want to take a moment to congratulate Sensei Clarissa on the opening of a new martial arts training center in San Antonio, Texas! 🥋

Sensei Clarissa has been a huge part of Team Tiger over the years, and she continues to be an owner of our school. She has trained, taught, encouraged, and inspired so many students, and we are incredibly proud to see her continue sharing her passion for martial arts with a new community.

We also want to congratulate her husband, Sensei Joey, as they begin this exciting new chapter together.

Watching members of the Team Tiger family grow, lead, and continue making an impact is something truly special.

Please help us congratulate Sensei Clarissa and Sensei Joey on this amazing accomplishment. San Antonio is lucky to have them! 🐯👏

One of the things that makes Team Tiger special is the people leading the class. 🥋

Great instructors do more than teach technique. They encourage, correct, challenge, and help each student grow at their own pace. That kind of leadership makes a big difference.

We’re grateful to have instructors who truly care about the students they teach and the community they’re helping build here at Team Tiger.

If you’ve been thinking about trying classes, our current back-to-school special is a great way to get started: new students can try 4 weeks of classes and receive a free uniform for just $9.95.

As a reminder, we will be closed this Monday for Labor Day. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday!

One of the best parts of Team Tiger is the community that is built on the mat. 🥋

Every class is more than just training. It’s students learning from each other, encouraging one another, working hard, and growing together step by step.

We love seeing kids and families be part of something that teaches discipline and respect, but also creates real connection and support along the way.

That sense of community is a big part of what makes Team Tiger special. 🐯
