Look at these two dancers. Same pose, same strength, same discipline. But one carries light. The other carries shadow. That's not costume. That's emotion, given a body to live in.

Every child who dances is learning this same skill, whether they're performing Swan Lake or just working through a hard day at school. Dance gives kids a way to express what they're feeling when words aren't enough, joy, sadness, frustration, or anything in between.

Research on dance therapy shows it does more than build strong bodies. It helps kids actually recognize what they're feeling and learn what to do with it, through movement instead of words.
