We were honored to have Ms. Falesha Reynolds as our guest speaker at our lunch meeting yesterday.

Falesha Reynolds is a Licensed Master Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience in the field of social work.

She currently serves as the Director of Social Work Services for Henry County Schools, where she provides leadership and oversight for districtwide social work services and initiatives designed to remove barriers and improve outcomes for students and families.

Throughout her career, Falesha has remained passionate about advocacy, servant leadership, and ensuring that children and families have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

In her current role, she leads a team of school social workers, strengthens community partnerships, and collaborates with schools, courts, child welfare agencies, and community organizations to address attendance, mental health, homelessness, foster care, and other barriers impacting student success.

Falesha believes that meaningful change happens through strong relationships, collaboration, and a commitment to serving others.

Today, Falesha will enlighten us on McKinney-Vento and provide an important update on students within our school system who are experiencing homelessness.

She’ll help us better understand the challenges these students and their families face, the resources and support available to them, and the ways our community can come alongside them.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn more about this important issue and how we can help make a difference for children right here in our community.

On Saturday, Our Henry County Rotary Club joined forces with FODAC to help get medical equipment into the hands of people who need it most.

What may look like a simple donation is often something much bigger, a way to restore dignity, independence, and comfort to a family facing a hard season.

That’s the heart of Service Above Self. That’s what it means to be People of Action.
And that’s the kind of community we’re building together in Henry County.

When we come together, we don’t just give things away. We give people a chance to keep moving forward.

We were honored to have Mr. Kevin Williams as our guest speaker at yesterday’s meeting.

Kevin Williams is a leadership and workforce development professional, pastor, speaker, author, and youth advocate committed to helping people recognize their potential and prepare for their future.

His work in workforce development focuses on career readiness, employer engagement, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people.
Kevin is the founder of Power Forward Youth Foundation, an organization dedicated to equipping youth with leadership, character, career readiness, and essential life skills.

He is also the author of three books focused on developing, mentoring, and preparing youth and young adults for success.

He holds a Master’s degree in Leadership from Luther Rice College & Seminary and is a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member and DISC Certified Consultant. Kevin also serves as Pastor of Heavenly Way Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia, with a passion for developing people, strengthening communities, and preparing the next generation to lead and succeed.

Have you heard of Henry Hub? What an honor it was to be joined by Mr. Joseph B. Henning, President of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, as the guest speaker at yesterday’s meeting.

With 60 years of serving Henry County, the Chamber is proud to be recognized as the 2022 National Chamber of the Year, and one of the top ten Chambers in the State of Georgia.

As our community continues to grow, Mr. Henning shared his office’s vision for the development of Henry County. The chamber prides itself on (among other ventures) building economic bridges, workforce development and supporting the leadership of the county.

Mr. Henning expounded on several important initiatives geared towards developing our community. Of particular interest are the Community Convener Newsletter, the Citizens Playlist Podcast and the Flex Mentorship program for high school entrepreneurs.

Mr. Henning was also proud to announce a new initiative which is geared towards connecting and supporting local entrepreneurs and businesses.
