Our Henry County Rotary Club is proud to support the work of Henry County Government's Community Resource Division. At yesterday’s meeting we were honored to be joined by Executive Director Amanda Reeves.
Amanda shared on the important work that she and her team are doing to serve our local community in areas including providing housing for 500 residents in the last three years, and other community impact initiatives which support our local Henry County community.
Meet our guest: Amanda Reeves serves as Director of Henry County Government's Community Resource Division, where she works to connect residents with housing assistance, supportive services, and other community resources.
With a career dedicated to serving the community, she has extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate challenges, access resources, and build pathways to stability and self-sufficiency.
Prior to her work in local government, Amanda served as Executive Director of Hands of Hope Clinic, leading efforts to provide healthcare and support services to underserved residents.
As a graduate of University of Georgia, she holds a master’s degree in human resource and organizational development and is passionate about developing collaborative solutions that address housing stability, workforce needs, access to healthcare, and quality-of-life challenges throughout the community.
Join us in making a difference by supporting Henry County Government's Community Resource Division, because when a community comes together in service, hope grows, lives are changed, and everyone has a chance to thrive.

Before a single project changes a community, a leader first says “yes” to serving others. The Henry County Rotary Club proudly passes the gavel to our new President, Mike Griffin, whose vision is simple but powerful: bring fresh ideas and new energy to Rotary, just as the Savannah Bananas have reimagined baseball, and never lose sight of those who need us most.
“The most vulnerable in our midst should receive our greatest attention” is more than a statement; it’s a commitment. From expanding support for the Hands of Hope Clinic to continuing Rotary’s historic fight to eradicate polio, we are building a future where service creates lasting change, both here in Henry County and around the world.
This is more than a new chapter, it’s an invitation. Join us in making a difference, because when a community comes together in service, hope grows, lives are changed, and everyone has a chance to thrive. 💙💛

📚✏️ It only takes one notebook, one backpack, or one box of pencils to change a child’s future. ❤️
Henry County Rotary Club is proud to support Henry County Public Schools Foundation.
As another school year approaches, let’s remember that behind every successful student is a teacher who often reaches into their own pocket to make sure no child is left behind.
Together, we can ease that burden, equip our classrooms, and give every child the opportunity to start the year with confidence, dignity, and hope.
When a community comes together to serve, we do more than donate school supplies, we invest in dreams, strengthen our schools, support our incredible educators, and help secure a brighter future for the next generation.
Let’s Stuff the Bus and prove that when we unite in service, every child, every teacher, and our entire community wins. ❤️🚌📚

🇺🇸 250 Years. Countless Sacrifices. One Nation. ❤️🤍💙
Today, as America celebrates 250 years of independence, we remember that freedom was never meant to be something we simply enjoy; it is something we honor through the way we live, serve, and care for one another.
The greatest expression of patriotism isn’t just waving a flag; it’s choosing service above self, lifting our communities, and leaving this nation stronger for the next generation.
Happy 4th of July from our Henry County Rotary Club.
May we celebrate not only our history, but also our shared responsibility to make a lasting impact; one act of kindness, one volunteer effort, and one united community at a time. 🇺🇸✨

It starts with a simple question: What if we all decided to serve? ❤️
💛On June 26th, our Rotary family gathered for our Second Annual Gala; not just to celebrate another year, but to celebrate the people behind the service. Every handshake represented a new connection. Every smile reflected a shared purpose. Every conversation reminded us that when people with different backgrounds unite around one mission, extraordinary things happen.
💙Rotary’s greatest strength has never been the meetings we attend or the titles we hold. It is our willingness to come together, roll up our sleeves, and serve our communities.
🚚Whether we’re supporting local initiatives, mentoring young people, raising funds, or working towards a world free of polio, every act of service creates a ripple that reaches far beyond what we can see.
🍾🎊The gala was a celebration of what we’ve accomplished together; but even more, it was a reminder that our best work is still ahead.
💼Communities don’t become stronger because of one person. They become stronger because ordinary people choose to work together for something greater than themselves.
🥂Here’s to another year of building friendships, expanding our networks, celebrating our successes, and transforming compassion into action.
Together, we are proving that service isn’t just what we do, It is who we are!
Because when a community serves together, a community grows together. 💙💛

The most powerful moments in leadership are not when we hold the gavel… they’re when we willingly pass it. ❤️
Tonight’s Rotary Pass the Gavel ceremony was a reminder that true leadership was never about the title. It was about serving with humility, lifting others, and leaving the organization stronger than we found it.
The gavel changes hands, but the mission never changes. Service Above Self is more than a motto—it’s a promise that every generation of leaders will continue building on the sacrifices, vision, and dedication of those who came before them.
The greatest leaders don’t create followers. They create more leaders.
Here’s to those who served faithfully, those stepping forward with courage, and to the legacy that continues because someone was willing to pass the torch. 💙
