Hole 4 at Bud Kelley Park DGC has an area newly marked as a Required Relief Area for safety reasons. The area is atop the hill on the right side just before the Red basket. Take it or leave it in casual play, but it is recommended to not play from inside this area. Here is how a Required Relief Area is played.
A Required Relief Area is a regulated area indicated by red lines and/or flags. It is played like an OB area but without penalty. It is different from a Casual Area in that you do not have the option to play from inside the regulated area. Relief is required, in this case for safety due to trees with heavy thorns.
From the PDGA Rules:
806.04 Required Relief Area
A. A required relief area is an area designated by the Tournament Director from which a disc may not be played.
B. A required relief area is considered and played as an out-of-bounds area (see 806.02), with the following exceptions:
1. The player does not receive a penalty throw as described in 806.02.D.
2. Because the player does not receive a penalty throw, they may not take optional line of play relief without penalty described in 806.02.D.2.
3. The player may not play from the previous lie as described in 806.02.D.1. They may still abandon their throw with penalty under 809.01.
