Last max out day of the year for my crew. Had a few great PRs, a come back lift after 2 injuries, and some lifts from those that have taken a break from lifting for a little bit. Really looking forward to the coming year. Next week will be a recovery week and then back to work to get ready for the Ironborn in Feb and AO1 in March.

Old folks and new folks got together today and defeated gravity.
Always good when my remote lifters come by. And always fun when new friends come by to sling some weight too.

2025 US Nationals wrapup...
It was a great 2 days in Colorado for my lifters that joined me here at Nationals.
First up we had .i.l.i.a.d (48k F Jr). It was her first National meet and she did fantastic. She went 4/6 with a 48k PR sn**ch, 54k c&j for a 102k total PR. The really great part of her story this week is that it's her first National meet and she got 5th in sn**ch, 7th in c&j, and 6th overall. Not too shabby for not even lifting for 2 years yet.
Next up we had . Ginger Beef went 4/6 with a 99k sn**ch, 117k c&j for a 216k total. His sn**ch was good enough for his first National medal which was bronze...all on his birthday.
Finally we had .mighty.a He finally decided to jump back into lifting after being away for 2 years and did not disappoint. It didn't go exactly how he wanted but he did a great job and I'm super proud of him. Ash went 4/6 with a 128k sn**ch, 140k c&j for a 258k total giving him 5th overall.
I'm super proud of all my kids. All I ever ask is that they give me their best, and they have never disappointed me. Ever.
Till next year here in the Springs...
The 5th slide is AI that is hilarious.๐

We had a great day at Barbell Maynia on Saturday.ย
First up we had lifting in his very first meet. Dee has only been lifting with us for less than a year and was super excited to lift in his first meet. Dee went 4/6 with a 45k Sn**ch and a 60k clean & jerk giving him a 105k total. Great job Dee.
Next up we had coming back to lifting after taking a break for a little bit. Riley went 3/6 with a 85k sn**ch and a 115k clean & jerk giving him a 200k total. Good job bud. We'll get it next time๐
The Williams always put on a great meet. Coaches, if you have a first time lifter or someone that just needs platform time their meets are perfect. Give them a look next time.

3 years apart...
Weightlifting is not a sprint, it's a life long marathon. You have hills, curves thrown at you, and occasionally long stretches of nothing but flat flat road where nothing changes.
BUT ...if you keep working on the little things, the big things are easier for you to handle.
I know Ginger Beef (73k) won't mind this so I'm using him as an example.
Three years ago, Ben came to me to do "CrossFit" styled workouts. I quickly suckered him into just doing Olympic weightlifting. His mobility was terrible. In the first pic you can clearly see the hips and ankles needed a lot of work. Typical for most of today's youth. With a lot of work and fighting with stuck joints, Ben is finally looking like a weight lifter. This past year Ben was able to sn**ch 100k, a goal everyone strives for. I feel confident that with Ben's hard work and his hard-redhead he will be making 125k look even better in the coming years. Keep grindin man.
The point is, put in the work for those little things. Work on mobility. Don't skip your accessory work. Work on technique. Don't eat like an as***le. Get sleep and recover as hard as you lift. The little thing will lead to bigger big things.

We are here at Nationals in Pittsburgh and are all ready to go. The hay is in the barn as they say.
First up we have Norah Cape . She lifts at 1:30pm EST on the White platform. We have a lot of good competition but she's ready for it.
Second we have Ben "Ginger Beef" Englebracht . He lifts Tuesday at 8pm EST on the Red platform. Also a lot of good competition.
Be sure to tune in and cheer them on by going to USAW.live and pick the platform you want to see.

Just thought I'd share...Bought these change plates about 6 months ago. Really happy with how these are holding up after daily use by multiple people. They are also not putting dings on my Pyrros bar like solid steel plates tend to do. Highly recommend.
