The Bike Park is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10a-4p. We offer shuttle service on the Western Slope from 10a-6p on Fridays and 9.30a-4p on Saturdays. Massanutten is proud to host the annual HOO-HA! XC mountain bike race. The HOO-HA! started in 1989 and has become a staple in the Virginia bike scene boasting great, technical trails that are maintained and improved each year by the Shenandoah Valley Bike Coalition. Where: Massanutten's Western Slope, Keezletown, VA. (NOT AT THE ACTUAL RESORT)

Directions from Harrisonburg (@ 81 & Rt 33):

The Western Slope is near Keezletown on the Western side of Massanutten Resort. Follow Route 33 East 3.8 miles to stop light at Rt.620 (Massanutten Presbyterian Church is on your left). Left onto Rt 620 North / Indian Trail Rd. Follow Rt. 620 N for 1.7 miles until you cross the rail-road tracks in Keezletown. Right onto 620 N / Mountain Valley Rd. Follow 620 N for .9 mi. Right onto Happy Valley Rd. Follow Happy Valley Rd. 1.4 mi to Western Slope Parking area on Right. Race Day Schedule
11:30 AM – Timing Chip Pickup Opens at the Pavilion
12:30 PM – Timing Chip Pickup Closes (No late pickups.)

3:00 PM – Race Window Closes
Awards – Immediately following the completion of scoring.
 
Day-of Information
 - No Day-Of Registration. Registration link in bio.
 - Pick up your number plate and timing chip at the Pavilion.
 - Timing provided by 3 Creeks Timing.
 - Riders should arrive early to allow time for check-in and staging.
 
Requirements
- All participants must complete a waiver at check-in.
- Helmets are required; full-face helmets are recommended.
- If your tires are rolling, your helmet should be on. Helmets must be worn and buckled anytime you’re on your bike.
 
The Fine Print
 - Fields/categories may be combined based on turnout.
 - Course layout and timed stages may change due to trail or weather conditions.
 - Expect to pedal—this isn’t a free ride.
 - Missing the 12:30 PM timing chip pickup deadline may result in not being scored.
 - Ride smart, respect other riders, and have fun. This is racing the Western Slope the way it was meant to be.

Bike Park and WS Shuttle Updates:

As we head into our fall season, we will see some operational changes. Tomorrow, September 2nd, will be the last Wednesday of the season. We will be open extra hours for Labor Day weekend. Friday, September 4th and Monday, September 7th we will be open 10am-5pm.

The Bike Park and Rental Shop’s schedule for the remainder of the season will be:
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm

Western Slope Shuttle schedule will be:
- Fridays & Saturdays 10am-5pm

There will be a few variations to this to accommodate events and races. Please check the website to see the full up to date schedule.

Nothing but smiles for our first ever Locals Cup Western Slope Enduro Series! Thank you all to those who came out and raced, and to everyone who helped make it happen! With us being a few days out from our next Locals Cup, here are the details for the day:

August 30 – Locals Cup Enduro #1
Stage 1 – 2K 
Start: Upper 2K
Finish: Intersection of 2K & Special K
Transfer: Special K (Berms) to Ravine

Stage 2 – Middle Quarantine 
Start: Middle Quarantine at Ravine
Finish: Intersection of Happy Hour, Pond, and Skills Kitchen
 
Course Notes:
Stage locations and routes are subject to change based on trail conditions, weather, and maintenance.
Courses will be marked early that morning of the event. Riders are responsible for knowing the liaison (transfer) routes between timed stages.  
 
Open to everyone:
This is your shot to throw down on the Western Slope of Massanutten—whether you live for this or you’re just stepping into the fire. It’s not just about speed... it’s about control, pacing, and knowing when to send it and when to hold back.

Starting this week, we’ll no longer offer our Western Slope shuttles on Fridays. We’re taking this time to reevaluate and explore additional shuttle days and times for the fall. Saturday & Sunday shuttles will still be available.
