As this year is coming to an end, we want to take a moment to say how much McKeesport Athletics is proud and excited to have Mr. Shaffer as a part of our new chapter of leadership with the Tigers! π

A dedicated educator, coach, and relationship-builder, Adam brings not only years of athletic leadership and game management experience, but also a deep understanding of what it means to be a McKeesport Tiger.
Having served our district for the past decade, his passion for student-athletes extends far beyond the field or court. His vision is rooted in academics, accountability, sportsmanship, personal growth, and creating opportunities that prepare our students for success in life.
Adam believes athletics is about more than wins and losses β it is about building healthy habits, learning teamwork, overcoming adversity, and developing well-rounded young people ready for their next steps.
His commitment to strengthening relationships with students, coaches, families, alumni, and our community reflects the very spirit of Tiger Pride.
As Adam shared:
βTiger Pride is about being part of something bigger than yourself. It is the responsibility to positively represent the McKeesport Area School District and community while helping to create a well-balanced student-athlete culture.β
We are excited for the future of McKeesport Athletics and grateful to have a leader who values our traditions while embracing new ideas to continue building the Tiger brand.
Welcome to this new role, Adam β the future is bright for McKeesport Tigers Athletics!

π Honoring Service. Celebrating Legacy. πβ€οΈ
The McKeesport Fallen Heroes Scholarship was proudly awarded this past weekend during the opening pregame ceremonies of the 8th Annual McKeesport K9 Classic Tournament.
Funds for this meaningful scholarship were raised through the Officer Sean Sluganski Memorial βSlugfustβ Tournament held in April β continuing a legacy of service, sacrifice, and community.
The scholarship recognizes outstanding recipients pursuing further education in public safety or those who have demonstrated a strong commitment to serving and giving back to their communities through their achievements and involvement during high school.
π Congratulations to this yearβs recipients:
β’ Matt Sebelia
β’ Brian Jones
β’ Emily Eisenberg
Thank you to everyone who helped make this scholarship possible while honoring the memory and impact of our fallen heroes. Your support ensures these values of service, leadership, and community continue to live on through the next generation. πΊπΈπΎβ€οΈ
