What an incredible finish to the season! All four division championship games were packed with intensity, great competition, and outstanding hockey. Thank you to every player, team, official, and fan who helped make this Spring League one to remember!

Congratulations to Venom Black on taking home the 2026 Cadet A Championship! The #1 seed Venom faced off against the #2 seed Cranberry Eagles in the championship matchup.

Unfortunately, Cranberry was missing several of their top players, while Venom entered the game with tremendous momentum after a strong round-robin performance, outscoring their opponents by a combined 8-0.

Venom carried that momentum into the championship game, coming out flying from the opening ball drop. They scored 6 goals in the first period and added 2 more in the second period to secure an 8-0 victory and capture the championship banner.

Gavin Cross finished the game with 2 assists and earned MVP honors for his outstanding tournament performance.

Congratulations to Gavin on a fantastic tournament and congratulations to Venom Black on winning the Cadet A Championship!

The Cadet B Championship game was a game for the ages! The #6 seed Brookline took on the #4 seed Riverview Raptors in an action-packed contest that needed overtime to decide a champion.

Riverview came out strong through the first two periods, led by Austin Hartung, who scored two big goals to help give the Raptors a commanding 5-1 lead. But Brookline refused to quit, battling all the way back with four unanswered goals in the 3rd period to tie the game at 5-5 and send it into overtime.

Both goaltenders were outstanding in the extra period, making countless acrobatic saves to keep their teams alive and give them a chance to win. With just :37 seconds remaining in OT, the Raptors controlled the ball deep in the corner and forced a pass toward the net, where Austin Hartung was there to chip it in for the game-winning goal.

The overtime winner completed a hat trick for Austin, earning him the MVP award for his incredible performance.

Congratulations to Riverview on a thrilling victory and on claiming the 2026 Cadet B Championship!

Congratulations to the 2026 McKeesport Summer Bash Cadet C Champions: Cranberry Eagles!

The #1 seed McKeesport Jets faced off against the #3 seed Cranberry Eagles in another nailbiter. Both teams were held off the scoresheet in the first period with spectacular goaltending from both sides. However, the scoring came alive in the second period with Cranberry scoring three goals from Kaden McGee, Michael Evans, and Dakota Inman. McKeesport was relentless and kept it close with goals from Brayden Kraly and Nico Typanski.

Cranberry entered the third period with a 3-2 lead before Evan Gocella buried a rebound to extend the lead to 4-2. Typanski scored three minutes later with a wrister from the slot to pull within a goal. The Eagles held off the late-game McKeesport surge to claim the Cadet C Championship. Evan Gocella’s game-winning goal and assist earned him the MVP award!

Thank you to both teams for giving us such a great game, and congratulations to the Eagles on winning the title!

Congratulations to the 2026 Beaver B Champions: Venom Black!

If you missed this game, shame on you for 3 weeks!

Riverview came out flying, burying two goals in the first period to take an early 2-0 lead. Venom battled back hard in the second period and managed to tie the game at 2-2 with goals from Rory O’Toole and Alyssa Cly.

With just 4 minutes remaining in the game, Venom’s Nate Prokop scored what we thought would be the game-winning goal — only for Riverview’s James Lower to answer just 90 seconds later and tie the game back up at 3-3. The crowd was electric, and the tension was at an all-time high!

Then, just one minute later, Prokop found the back of the net again to give Venom the lead and help secure the championship banner. Prokop’s memorable performance earned him the MVP award.

Thank you to both teams for giving us an incredible game and a championship finish to remember. Congratulations to Venom Black on winning the 2026 Beaver B Championship!

Congratulations to our 2026 McKeesport Summer Bash Beaver C Champions: New Ken Jets!!!

Cranberry came out strong in the championship game, striking first just 3 minutes into the opening period. The Jets answered back quickly, as Jordan Fajt found the back of the net less than a minute later to tie the game at 1-1.

The Eagles regained the lead late in the first period when Oscar Mulvaney scored in the waning seconds to make it 2-1.

That set the stage for an incredible MVP performance by Callie Cerra, who took over the game by scoring 4 straight goals to help propel the Jets to a commanding 6-3 lead! Wow!!!

New Ken locked things down in the third period, shutting the door on the Eagles’ comeback attempt and securing the victory to capture the Beaver C Championship!

Congratulations to the New Ken Jets on an outstanding championship win, and thank you to both teams for providing a fantastic weekend of hockey!

Congratulations to the 2026 McKeesport Summer Bash Penguin B Champions: Jr. Gods!!! 🏆

The Gods came out flying from the opening whistle and never looked back, defeating the Falcons 7-1 in a high-scoring championship matchup.

Noah Daugherty had an outstanding performance, finishing the game with 1 goal and 2 assists while earning the MVP award for his efforts.

Congratulations, Noah, and congratulations to the Jr. Gods on a fantastic team victory! Thank you to both teams for an exciting championship game and a great weekend of hockey! 🏒

Congratulations to the 2026 McKeesport Summer Bash Penguin C Champions: Scott Township Dekhounds!

This championship game was full of action! The Dekhounds wasted no time, as #98 Cam Beckett scored just 32 seconds into the game to give Scott Township an early 1-0 lead. That score would remain unchanged until halfway through the third period, when Cam found the net again to extend the Dekhounds’ lead to 2-0.
Scott Township continued to apply pressure throughout the game, firing shot after shot toward the Venom Black net, but Maggie Wissel delivered an incredible individual performance to keep her team within striking distance. This was truly one of those rare moments where an MVP-caliber performance came from the losing side. Way to go Maggie!

The Dekhounds went on to defeat Venom Black 4-0 to capture the Penguin C Championship! They put together an amazing tournament run, outscoring their opponents 25-3 while earning two impressive shutouts along the way.
