I am pleased to announce I will be hosting a yoga retreat in my hometown Hot Springs National Park over Labor Day weekend.
Full Chi Living
Sept. 1 - Sept. 4
The retreat will be held at a historic home in the heart of central Hot Springs, Arkansas. Includes all meals, two daily yoga sessions, workshops on energetic boundaries and nervous system management, transportation for hot springs excursion, and day pass to local bath house (allows access to public pools; additional services available at cost - pre-booking required). Free time is also built into the itinerary. All levels and abilities welcome!

Yoga for St. Jude - results update
Thank you all so much for supporting this campaign! I have been blown away by your generosity and am so grateful to see the impact of this journey. We were able to raise $395 for St. Jude’s during this 30 day challenge! I am still waiting for the final campaign totals, but they exceeded $340,000 mid-way through. As my thank you to you, I will be posting some free yoga videos over the coming weeks 🙏

Day 30 - FINAL DAY of Yoga for St. Jude
I am over the mat grateful to all who were able to contribute and to all who provided support in any capacity. I am also humbled by and grateful to all the co-campaign participants for sharing such beautiful practices as well as creating a community of encouragement and inspiration. This challenge has been as much a gift to me with the unfolding of its process as to all those I hope to benefit from this journey.

Day 29 - Yoga for St. Jude
A goddess and some warriors 🙃 - vinyasa flow day.
How often do you allow your body to move in flow? Do you align your movements with breath? How would doing so bring more awareness to your movements throughout the day?
(Note: the military teaches this practice through singing cadence while running).

Day 28 - Yoga for St. Jude
Chair yoga is for the hardy, not the weak.
Chair yoga constituted my entire asana practice during recovery from a double bunionectomy Dec.-Apr. last year. Give it a go if you’ve never tried it; it’s harder than it looks.
Surgeries and procedures I’ve had:
Double bunionectomy
Ligament reconstruction - left ankle
Ligament and tendon reconstruction - right ankle
C-section
Injections for disks - back (lower and upper)
Injections for si joint
Nerve blocks - all limbs
Injections for carpal tunnel - both wrists
Medical conditions:
Ménière’s disease (vertigo)
RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) - latent nerve condition from a car wreck affecting all limbs
Other injuries:
Hamstring tear
Dislocated knee
Whatever you’re working with, wherever you’re at, start there ✨

Day 27 - Yoga for St. Jude
111 hz Cellular Regeneration frequency meditation music + Legs Up the Wall, Child’s Pose, and Relaxation Breathing (pranayama) at bedtime.
The Earth’s frequency is 7.8 hz. Our bodies’ frequencies range between 350 hz at the root chakra to 950 hz at the crown chakra. Cancer patients have a resonant frequency between 1,000 hz and 15,000 hz.
Time in nature heals. Frequencies change our cells. What sounds are you feeding your body?

Day 26 - Yoga for St. Jude
Flight Day 🧚♀️✨
Small steps consistently applied make the journey, the goal, the outcome.
I worked towards firefly pose over the course of a few months. I started working towards poses like flying lizard over the past couple of months. Side crow and (almost) peacock came as bonuses.
Similarly, “small” amounts gathered over time accumulate into St. Jude.
(Thanks to the generosity of my friends, I have made my fundraising goal for this challenge. I will continue the challenge to the end and am now pushing for extra bc untapped ability is a misspend of chi - feel free to add some icing to this fundraising cake and thank you - donation link in comments 🙏)

Day 22 - Yoga for St. Jude
Epsom salt bath with essential oils + pratyahara practice (sense withdrawal / control of the senses).
Do you give your body extra support when you ask more of it?
What would it feel like to consciously withdraw from the sense of sight for a few minutes? To alternate between awareness of smell and touch? To remove awareness of all sensory input? To consciously bring awareness back to each sense one at a time?
