Same Great Race — Exciting New Distance!

We are excited to introduce a new distance to this year’s 8th annual event. The 15K will officially replace the half marathon.

Due to updated course restrictions within the City of Murphy, the half marathon distance can no longer be supported. To maintain a longer-distance option for our runners/walkers, we’ve added a 15K (9.3 miles) to keep the tradition and challenge alive.

Rainy morning running between the storms. It was great to see this crew and have a little rain run avoiding the puddles and mud along the way.

Today is also National Cancer Survivor Day.

We did Global Running Day in the best way. We celebrated with bananas and chocolate milk at the finish.
We did run into some challenges with downed trees, but not challenging enough to stop us.

The heat has returned! We switched to our summer route with extra water stops. Everyone made it back ready to cool down.

Last Sunday of May long run & we were excited to have join us for the morning bringing their excitement, raffle prizes, drinks, & snacks, including some delicious chocolate chip 🍪! Amazing to have such a large group getting in their 5 minutes, 5 miles, or 15+ miles, depending on their season of life!

Global Running Day is Wednesday- please join the 5 & 5:30 am crew if you’d like to get your miles in!

Thursday night’s run kicked off our summer running temps! It may have been hot, it may have been humid, but we all persisted and got in some miles and even an amazing sunset!
