Live rolling/sparring idea:

A live rolling match will continue until a sleeper hold or equivalent is successfully applied. Other holds, if resulting in a tap, mean simply that the affected limb may not be used for the remainder of the match. For example, a kneebar does not end the match, but just makes it so that the leg (at least from the knee down) cannot be used for the rest of the round.

BREAK OUT THE FINGER-TAPE -- DECEMBER IS "YES-GI" MONTH AT STRONGHOLD-CASCAO JIU JITSU!

This month we emphasize gi-based techniques (primarily chokes/strangles) along with clothing grips, so bring your gi-tops! We'll begin with the fundamentals of hand/finger protection and the basic cross-collar strangle, and move on from there.

(We have extra gi-tops if you need to borrow one.)
