’Twas the eve before dance, and all through the place,
Not a dancer was stirring, not one little face.
The dance bags were packed by the front door with care,
With hopes that clean tights would somehow still be there.
The leotards waited, the tap shoes did too,
And everything sparkled in white and bright blue.
The hair bows were ready, the ballet buns planned,
While dance moms searched frantically—
“WHERE’S HER OTHER TAP SHOE?!” firsthand.
The Blue Room stood quiet, its music on pause,
No tapping, no turning, no rounds of applause.
The Broadway Room waited for jazz hands galore,
For leaps flying high and feet pounding the floor.
And Sapphire the fish swam around in her tank,
Enjoying the silence, if we’re being quite frank.
For tomorrow she knows, when the dancers arrive,
Dance by Cami gets LOUD—and the studio comes alive!
The teachers were home with their playlists prepared,
New combos and dances just waiting to be shared.
Miss Cami was dreaming of counts five-six-seven-eight,
And wondering how Season 24 got here this great!
Soon tiny new dancers will walk through the door,
While returning dancers come running once more.
There’ll be first-day nerves and big hugs from old friends,
And stories of summers that nobody ends.
There’ll be pliés and shuffles, pirouettes too,
Pointed toes, cartwheels, and “ONE MORE TIME!”—or twenty-two.
There’ll be laughter and music and memories made,
And probably a water bottle somebody mislaid.
Because these rooms are much more than mirrors and floors,
There’s something like magic behind those two doors.
It’s where confidence grows and friendships begin,
Where we learn that the biggest victories aren’t always a win.
For 24 seasons, we’ve watched dancers grow,
From tiny first steps to commanding the show.
And somehow each season feels brand-new again,
When the music turns on and we all count to ten—
Okay… EIGHT.
We’re dancers. We know. 😉
So sleep tight, little dancers, tomorrow’s the day!
Get those dance shoes ready—we’re on our way.
The Blue Room is waiting, Broadway is too,
And Sapphire is ready to welcome all of you.
