it is a vital instrument in the lives of these young students to help create discipline and clarity in every aspect of their lives on and off the mat.

what they are learning now about discipline both physically and mentally often doesn't reach most people till far later in life, often times before it's too late.

these are the kids and the teens who are always going to have that grit to make it over every hurdle that obstructs their path.

We're back with another MJ quote, and this one's all about the importance of fundamentals and the basic things we all usually gloss over.

Why is repetition of the basics so important? It creates the baseline for all that we do in every facet of living.

You crawl before you walk, and walk before you run. Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast is how the saying goes...

Same thing applies in martial arts. We drill the basics again and again, and when you think you've got it down we do what? We're drill it again, because even the best forget the basics when more complex techniques are learned even though what brought you to the dance was the basics.

Doing the basics, the ordinary, in an extraordinary manner is what separates the good and the great.

We make the difference we work towards. We are constantly improving. We are Kaizen.
