My mom visited me today…🪽

She actually came many times. In the form of a hummingbird. This little one has been hanging around the past couple weeks thoroughly enjoying the feeder in my backyard.

A hummingbird has been a sign that my mom is around since the moment she died and my aunt saw a hummingbird (she was there when my mom passed).

And ever since then, there have been so many moments not with just me but with my sisters, dad, aunts, cousins, etc.

Here’s some screenshots of the hummingbird in the video I took today. Video is at the end.

I think this one saw I put my camera up and so she put on a show ☺️

Starting over at 35 as a single mom…

Never in my life would I think I would be here. Starting a new life for myself. But here I am.

Changing my life from ⬇️
- over thinking ——> letting things be
- people pleasing ——> choosing what I want
- feeling guilty ——> self care comes first
- feeling shame ——> learning my worth
- doing it all myself ——> letting my faith guide me

It’s not easy. It’s really messy… tiring… tearful… but joyful.

Where my boy mom’s at?!

Loving that it’s now okay to wear sneakers with dresses because I’ve always loved this style but it was never truly okay for work attire.

I love this because 1 it’s super comfy and 2 it’s just more my style. I dress for comfort and feel more confident that way.

This dress was from my sister. Younger me wouldn’t wear these dresses because I never truly felt comfortable. Thought I was too big, too many rolls etc.

But now? I feel so much better in my skin than I ever have before and it’s all due to my mindset shift..

I’ve been taking better care of myself and putting myself first and that is why he is helping me build up self-confidence to really wear something like this and feel good in it.

This is what I want to teach you. Feeling better in your skin, more confident in yourself and decisions you have to make, and take those negative thoughts and turn them into productive, positive ones.

I never thought I’d be in this position. Single and coparenting.

But, here I am. Learning through this new chapter in my book of life.

It’s good to hear these reminders for me because some days, it does not feel like I’m doing anything right.

But that’s what it’s all about. Learning, making mistakes, growing.

This is the first time I’m doing any of this. So I’m gonna grow through what I go through.
