As this season comes to a close, we’re so proud to celebrate our final senior, Addie Hite 🤍✨

Addie began her dance journey at ACCSD at 10 years old and has been such a special part of our studio ever since. One of her favorite memories is being backstage before her duet with her best friend Molly, “sharing that moment with her was really special” 💫

This fall, Addie will be attending Clemson University, where she’ll be majoring in Biochemistry on the pre-med track, “Go Tigers!!” 🧡🎓

We are so proud of you, Addie, and can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you!

ACCSD has had an incredibly meaningful partnership with VCU Dance, thanks to our very own Autumn Proctor Waddell, who serves as an Assistant Professor there and connected us with their “Teaching Methods” course.

Each year, VCU Dance seniors learn how to teach and complete a practicum by leading a class at a local studio as part of their degree requirements.
This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming three seniors, Bella Mansapit (), Kate Lingo (), and Joshua Moïse () who taught classes for our dancers as part of their practicum.

All three also graduated VCU this spring, congratulations! Thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, and artistry with our students! 🤍

We’re so excited to highlight another incredible senior, Ivy Craig 🤍

Ivy has been dancing at ACCSD since she was 3 years old and has made countless memories along the way. Her favorite being, “those long competition days where everyone gets deliriously tired, starts laughing, and keeps the jokes going until their abs hurt.”

This fall, she will be attending Hollins University, where she plans to major in Dance and possibly minor in Childhood Education. If all goes well with her upcoming EMT exam, she’ll also be working as a part-time EMT!

Ivy wants everyone to know how much she loves her dance family and that this isn’t goodbye, she can’t wait to see everyone grow, and they’ll definitely be seeing her again!
