Today, Alex goes over some of the ROSS REELS that we carry in the shop. All of these are great options that have the potential to be passed down to the next generation.

Feel free to stop in and talk with us about which reel might be a good fit for you!

Our Guide Bryan has been seeing some nice fish as of recently. Both this Wild & Hatchery fish hit the net last week. They’re here and they’ll be sticking around for a while!

If you’re looking to do a guided trip, give the shop a call and we’ll put forward every effort to get you into some awesome summer fish.

Swinging up summer steelhead is high on our to-do list and we think it should be on yours too!

We’ve seen that fish are filtering into the river in better numbers, the further we get into July. With higher water temps in the afternoon, always try to keep them wet!

FLY FRIDAY - This week’s fly is RIO Products “Fish Taco”. During this time of year, we want to remind anglers that intruder patterns and Skagit set ups still have skin in the game. Direct sunlight and warmer water temps in the afternoon hours tend to push fish into deeper runs, commanding the need for set ups that can get down in the water column.

If you’ve got a waterway that you’d like to see a fly recommendation for, drop us a comment below.

STILLWATER RODS - Here in Southern Oregon, we have a plethora of lakes that offer amazing trout & bass fishing this time of year.

Alex breaks down a handful of rods made by ECHO Fly Rods & Reels to give you a better idea of some options that will get you out on our local lake fisheries this summer!

If you fish Echo, let us know what rods you’re fishing in the comments!

We recently had the chance to get these two fellas into some good trout! Any chance to get the younger generation on the water & fishing is a great day in our books! With our guided trips, we’re happy to accommodate any age.

Now ask yourself… was the rowing lesson asked for or did our guide Brandon just want a break from the sticks? 🤔

FLY FRIDAY - This week’s fly is a “Balanced Leech”. This fly does great on any of the lakes we have here in southern Oregon. Whether it be for trout, panfish, smallmouth bass, and others! Fish it under an indicator or strip it back to you as slow as you can. A variety of colors work for this fly ranging such as tan, olive, brown, and black.

Looking for some lake fish? We’re happy to point you in the direction of where to get started!

We’ve been having lots of fun swinging up some good sized trout and tuning up casts as the wet wading season arrives!
