Nightly dessert is typically a delicious protein shake. 10 oz milk, 1 scoop protein, heaping tablespoon of peanut butter, and a banana. Chocolate, banana, and peanut butter are an amazing combo!

After over a year of battling with Morton's Nueroma, I'm finally able to run fast again, pain free. Morton's neuroma is the inflammation of a nerve in your foot that causes scar tissue to build up, and that tissue causes pain while walking/running. It took three rounds of cortisone shots, lots of months off of running, and multiple different types of insoles, but I made it. If you are struggling with a Nueroma please reach out and I will gladly share more of my experience.

Here is a picture of the pool where I swam 4200y this morning. Main set was 5x600 on 10 minutes, an endurance set made to prep for an Ironman!

Due to inclement weather, I had to do my long ride indoors this past weekend. This is the first time I've done a long ride on my Kickr Core, and I rode a Challenge Roth loop. Not only did I learn what an 18.5% grade hill feels like, but it was the best long ride I've ever done indoors!

Long run Sunday! After taking time off running to heal a bruised foot bone, it takes a lot of willpower for me to *slowly* build back up both in pace and distance without overdoing it. Remember, discipline in recovery is just as important as discipline in hitting your workouts!

When there are thunderstorms on long bike day, the only thing you can do is hop on the trainer and play some Halo 1 co-op campaign.

Had an incredible trip to Japan, where I did very little actual training, but a lot of cross training by walking around beautiful Japanese cities and summiting Mt. Fuji. Sometimes it is important to take a step back from training to experience something new and awesome. Balance is always key.
