There are moments that remind you exactly why you do this.
Today wasn’t special because we were perfect. (Trust me... this 43-year-old body that has to co exist with my 18-year-old dance heart had plenty of wobbles and bobbles.)
It was special because I got to partner with two incredible young women who were once my students.
As we trained together this weekend at one of the most admired dance companies in America, I kept catching glimpses of the little girls who first walked through the doors of Turning Point Dance. And now here we are... learning side by side.
There really aren’t words for what that feels like.
Thank you, Shannon Mather , for opening this space to us, believing in lifelong learning, and pouring so much love, wisdom, and artistry into every person in the room. We are leaving inspired, challenged, and so incredibly grateful.

Introducing our newest Soul Mover… Brandon! 💙
There are some people who walk through our doors and just fit.
From the very first conversation, I knew Brandon’s heart for dancers aligned so beautifully with the heart of Turning Point.
With over 20 years of dance experience, training in California, New York City, and here in the Rogue Valley, plus recent training through the Pacific Northwest Ballet Teacher Seminar, Brandon brings incredible knowledge to our studio.
But what excites me most isn’t his résumé, it’s the way he cares for people.
He believes ballet should be a place where every dancer feels seen, challenged, encouraged, and empowered to grow. His goal is simple: that every student leaves class feeling stronger, more confident, and more connected to the joy of dance.
We are beyond excited to have him leading our brand new Ballet for Boys & Men program!
