SHOWIE IS GOING TO THE NFR!

I sat down and started writing out what KG Just Money has done this year, and seeing it all on one page is pretty hard to believe. We started last fall at the WPRA finals to wrap up his futurity year, made a trip to the Denver Qualifier because we were in none of the winter rodeos, and away he went. He had been in 1-2 performances prior to January 2026, and in 1-2 arenas without exhibitions.

I’ve asked a lot of Showie this year. We’ve hauled a lot of miles, seen a lot of different setups, and he kept giving me a chance everywhere we went. I’m proud of the wins and the fast times, but I’m even prouder of the horse who showed up for me all season. It wasn’t without some trial and errors - but KG also stands for Keep Going in our mind and we didn’t go home (and thanks to a lot of our support team for not letting us!). But I believed in Showie and wanted to end the year on a good note.

August hit and we had $65,000 won, and he won another $70,000 in the last 2 months of the season. He clearly wanted to show off in his home circuit of Columbia River rodeos. He ended the year with -

13 rodeo wins: Yuma, Arizona; Perry, Georgia; Redmond, Oregon; Coulee City, Washington; Klamath Falls and Eugene, Oregon; Burley, Idaho; Tremonton, Utah; Plains, Montana; Walla Walla, Washington; Lewiston, ID and Spokane, Washington; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

And then there are the 16-second runs. He ran a 16.98 and a 16.77 at Calgary, a 16.84 in the first go at Hermiston, a 16.86 at Heber City and a 16.89 at Gooding. Then came a 16.80 at Tremonton, a 16.91 at Kennewick, a 16.86 at Plains, a 16.79 at Lewiston and a 16.88 at Spokane. And Burley, ID where he set a WPRA world record running a 16.31.

His times also set arena records at Tremonton, Plains, Lewiston and Spokane.

Now we get to take him to the NFR. He won all except $2000 of our 2026 total. A fourth generation horse in my program, the first KG Justiceweexpected foal to make the finals since she did it in 2017. I’m grateful for every person who helped us get here, and I’m also grateful for all the horses in my program who have come before - they have helped shape me in so many ways - would not be possible without them!

Here’s to another trip to Vegas!

KG Just Money won the short round of Ellensburg, in the mud, and tied as the reserve champion of Ellensburg!! Congratulations to Summer for her win, and how cool that 2 of the top futurity horses of last year (Showie and Casey - Wonder If Im Lucky) tied for the reserve title!

Showie - you are really showing off!
