The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced a three-month Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI) Premium Holiday for eligible VGLI insureds.

November 1, 2026 – January 31, 2027

During the Premium Holiday:

-Eligible VGLI insureds will not have to pay premiums for November, December, and January.
-VGLI coverage will continue according to existing policy terms.
-No action is required for eligible insureds—the Premium Holiday will be applied automatically.

Who is eligible?
Your VGLI coverage must be active on November 1, 2026. Coverage that is canceled or lapses on or before October 31, 2026, is not eligible.

⚠️ Important: Past-due balances are not eliminated and must still be paid to keep coverage active.
