Message us for a spot! Lets go!!!!

I’ve had 2 kids.

There’s no secret ab workout.
No magic supplement.
No food I’ve completely eliminated.

Most of what I do is actually pretty boring.

I lift.
I move.
I pay attention to recovery.
I eat mostly whole foods and prioritize protein.
I walk.
And I protect my sleep.

Do I eat ice cream? Yep.

Go out to dinner with my husband? Absolutely.

Have a whiskey every once in a while? Also yes.

Because the goal isn’t to build a life that LOOKS healthy but is miserable to live.

The goal is to build habits you can repeat for years.

And that's the part social media doesn't make very exciting:

Consistency beats intensity when intensity isn't sustainable.

Train hard when your body is ready for it.
Recover when it needs recovery.
Eat well most of the time.
Move every day.
Get some sleep.

The boring stuff works.

🔥 Follow Phoenix Rehab for strength, recovery, and lifestyle strategies designed to help you stay Strong. Capable. Resilient.

“Faithless is he who says farewell when the road darkens.” — Tolkien

It’s easy to stay committed when the road is clear.

When your body feels good.
When business is growing.
When relationships are easy.
When your prayers seem answered.
When the work is paying off.

But what happens when the road gets dark?

That’s where faithfulness is built.

You keep training when progress feels slow.
You keep showing up when motivation disappears.
You keep doing the right thing when nobody applauds it.
You keep trusting God when you can’t see where the road leads.

Faithfulness doesn’t require certainty.

It requires the courage to take the next step.

The dark road isn’t necessarily the wrong road.

Sometimes it’s simply the part where you learn what you’re made of—and Who you’re willing to trust.

Keep walking.

🔥 Rise above your limitations.

Self-care doesn't rely on motivation.

If you only showed up to work when you felt motivated, eventually you'd lose your job.

If you only showed up for your kids when you felt motivated, they'd feel the consequences.

We understand that some responsibilities require us to show up whether we feel like it or not.

So why do we treat our health differently?

Taking care of yourself isn't something you do only when you're inspired.

Some days you'll want to train.
Some days you won't.

Some days meal prep sounds great.
Other days it's inconvenient.

Some days getting enough sleep, going for the walk, doing the rehab exercises, or making the healthier choice will feel easy.

Other days it won't.

The responsibility doesn't disappear because the motivation does.

Your health isn't entirely within your control—but the habits you repeatedly choose matter.

And ultimately, nobody else can consistently make those choices for you.

Self-care isn't always bubble baths and taking a day off.

Sometimes self-care is saying:

“I don't really feel like doing this today… but I'm going to take care of myself anyway.”

You don't need more motivation.

You need to decide that you are worth consistently showing up for.

🔥 What is ONE way you're showing up for yourself today?

Train slow. Then move FAST. 🔥
If you want to stay capable as you get older, being strong is only part of the equation.
Tempo deadlifts force you to slow things down.
They give you time to own your positions, control the hinge, maintain tension, and build strength without relying on momentum.
Then we flip the switch. ⚡
Explosive jumps train your ability to produce force quickly.
Because life doesn't always give you three seconds to create tension.
You catch yourself when you trip.
You chase your kids.
You jump.
You sprint.
You react.
Strength gives you capacity.
Power teaches you to use it.
And we don't train just to move weight around a gym.
We train so we're still strong, powerful, confident, and CAPABLE for everything life asks us to do.
You weren't meant to stop being athletic just because you're getting older.
🔥 Save this for your next lower-body day.

Pain is real.

But pain does NOT automatically mean your body is broken.

And sometimes, what you believe about pain can become one of the biggest barriers to getting back to the life you want.

5 lies about pain we need to stop believing:

❌ Pain always means damage.
❌ Rest fixes everything.
❌ Pain is a sign you’re making it worse.
❌ If it hurts, you should stop.
❌ The goal is to never feel pain again.

Here’s the reality:

Pain is complex. It’s information—not a perfect damage meter.

Sometimes the answer is rest.

Sometimes it’s modifying the movement, load, range, speed, or volume.

And sometimes rebuilding strength and gradually exposing your body to the things you want to do is exactly how you regain confidence and capacity.

The goal isn’t to recklessly push through pain.

But it also isn’t to spend your life afraid of it.

The goal is to understand your body, respond appropriately, and build a body capable of doing hard things.

Because a resilient body isn’t one that never experiences pain.

It’s one that has the capacity and confidence to keep living.

🔥 Build strength.
🔥 Build resilience.
🔥 Build capacity.
