Another busy weekend!
13u- Won the Championship of the Renegades Rumble in dramatic fashion! Tied 2-2 at the end of regulation the game went to the International tie breaker. After giving up 4 runs in the top half of the inning, they battled all the way back to win 7-6 thanks to a bases loaded triple by Hayden Knuf and then a sac fly by Danika Heatherly!
11 Blue- dominated the Players Against Bullying tourney in St Peter’s. They claimed the Championship in impressive fashion out scoring their opponents 54-8!
11 Black- battled a tough field going 2-2 against all 12u teams at the Renegades Rumble.
8u- playing at the Esprit Slugfest, they went 2-2 with both losses coming against the tourney Champion.
7u- once again battled hard against all older teams and picked up a nice win in the Renegades Rumble

What a long, exhausting weekend!! The four teams at the 7GG “7 in the Spring” tourney in Cape G were tested with some rough weather conditions on Saturday. In the end, this is how we finished up:
11 Black- 11 Open Champions!! They ended up 6-1-1 on the weekend. The bats were on fire hitting .408 for the weekend with ALL hitters going .300 or better! The pitchers and defense also did their thing allowing 0 runs in bracket play games!! Well deserved girls.
11 Blue- 3rd place in 11 Open. Unfortunately the two Blaze 11u teams had to meet in the semifinal. Good showing for this group, especially in first bracket play game winning a thriller!
9 Black- unfortunately their Saturday was washed out by rain so they only got 5 games in. Tough draw getting the top two teams (both 10u teams) to open pool play but they ended up 4th of 8 teams.
13u- this team knew it was going to be a difficult challenge playing up into 14A against some of the best in the Midwest at this age level. Though there weren’t many wins to show for it, it was a great learning experience. They battled hard including losing a close fought game that was 2-1 going into the last inning against the eventual champion.
12u headed up north to Jacksonville for the weekend. They battled some tough competition and ended up 3-2 and finishing in 2nd place! Way to go girls!
