Brevard Aces

Coach Arnold here. This is difficult yet also exciting for me to write. After much conversation and deliberation between Coach Plecki and myself, we have decided it is best for our current players, future players and our own families to take the Brevard Aces in a new direction. Effective immediately Coach Plecki and I will be coaching and affiliated with Evoshield Florida. We feel this move will greatly benefit our Brevard kids. This was a tough decision as we have always felt so loyal and tied to our local players and families. Over the past few months we have begun to have trouble competing with the larger organizations that have full-time employees dedicated to travel baseball. This move will provide extraordinary opportunities for our kids. The Evoshield group has a tremendous reputation of placing kids in college, fielding extremely competitive teams and providing state of the art baseball gear to its players. The timing of this announcement is important as the fall season has concluded and summer tryouts are right around the corner. We are very hopeful that many if not all of our players will decide to make this move with us. Thank you all so much for your support of the Brevard Aces over the years. Please know that our passion for helping Brevard kids hasn't changed whatsoever. We hope to see you all soon!!

Great weekend for the Aces. The Underclass team went 3-0 at the Prospect Select event in Fort Myers outscoring their opponents 20-5. The Upperclass team played a doubleheader against Daytona State on Saturday and though we couldn't beat the college boys, our guys got some good looks and some really took advantage of the opportunity.

Congratulations to Aces 2016 grad Sebastian Samuels on his commitment to play his college baseball at the University of Montevallo!!! We know he'll do big things there!!

I just want to take a minute to recognize the 14u Aces players, coaches and families for the amazing year they are having. They have won tournament after tournament spending countless hours (sometimes in the middle of the night) at the park, in a hotel or on the road. They are making a run at the USSSA DeMarini World Series title at Disney this week. No matter the outcome, this has been an incredible year of baseball that I am sure these boys, coaches and families will remember forever. Thank you all for helping make the Brevard Aces an organization to be proud of.

Congrats to 16u Aces RHP Collin Taulbee on being named to the WWBA All-Tournament team last week in Georgia!! Great job!!

As the summer season comes to an end (both Old Hickory and 17u are done, one event left for 14u and 16u), I just want to take a moment to thank all of our coaches, players and families for their efforts and support this summer. Many obstacles have to be overcome, including time, money, weather and injury issues. It has been another successful summer and I am very proud to be a part of this great, local organization. Enjoy the rest of the summer!! The fall season is right around the corner!!
