I think we are overdue for an update on the new, future home of DMD Tae Kwon Do, but beforehand, we want to praise our Lord Jesus for all of the progress that has been done, and all that is yet to be done. "Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness." Psalm 115:1
This project started out with SO much to do! The office in the back corner needed to be demo'd out, and the mechanic pit had to be filled. The entire building needed insulation, framing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical wiring, and so much more!
We are still in the trenches of the work that needs to be done, but we have made leaps and strides. Lord-willing, we hope to be in our new space by the end of the summer!
As far as updated pictures, I'll save those for another time, but I did want to highlight the way in which God's fingerprints are ALL over our new space.
One of the first things we did upon purchasing the property was having it anointed by the pastor of a local church with some prayer warriors from their congregation. We went over every inch of the property and building with the oil, praying over this space. The remainder of the anointing oil was closed up in the mechanic pit when we filled that in a couple months back.
The Word of God has been written all over the framing and insulation, and though it was not planned, even the plumbing lines bore the image of our salvation and hope in Christ.
Over the course of the entire project, we have prayed and worshipped in this building. We have also cried, sweat, and bled. This has not been an easy project, but all that we've done, we have done with a heart of worship and thankfulness to the One who is not only allowing us to be a part of His great work, but is also showing us in an undeniable way, that He is with us through it all.
With our new space, we hope to continue to grow the faith of our students, their families, and the community around us. We pray for the opportunity to serve those that God places in our path, and we hope, above all else, that Jesus' name be glorified through our ministry.
"Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever. Amen!"

Tonight, I am excited to announce that our students completed our ongoing study of the books of the Bible!
For the last 66 weeks, we studied a different book of the Bible in order, including who wrote the book, when it was written, who the writer was speaking to, key points, historical background, and what lessons we can glean from each book. It was an intense year+ of hard work, but it was well worth it!
We held a mini-celebration for the students in our last class, but the real celebration is yet to come!
For our students who completed the homework challenge, be sure and bring your papers in next week so that you can join the pizza party!
We are so proud of everyone who muscled through this series with us, and it is our hope and prayer that our mat times have grown your knowledge and understanding of God's Word. Well done!

Today was the 50th anniversary celebration of the AKATO organization, as well as the annual seminars and banquet. We are grateful to all of the instructors who taught in today's seminars and for everyone who helped make today a success for all of the participants!
Grandmaster Yates' dedication, diligence, and investment into this organization and all of our training over the years has been an immense blessing. He's built more than an association - he's given us community, he has gifted us an opportunity to grow and invest in other's lives, and he's created a legacy that will only continue to grow and uphold the values and standards of our art. We are truly thankful to be a part of such a special organization.
Congratulations Grandmaster Yates!
