What an incredible way to wrap up the 2026 Texas Ducks Unlimited State Celebration! 🇺🇸🦆
Saturday was filled with leadership, education, and celebrating the volunteers who make Ducks Unlimited the premier conservation organization in North America.
The day began with the Texas DU General Business Meeting, where volunteers gained a deeper understanding of how Ducks Unlimited conservation dollars are invested across the North American continent to protect critical wetlands and waterfowl habitat. We also had the opportunity to hear from the leadership of Ducks Unlimited Canada and Ducks Unlimited de México, learning how our three organizations work together throughout the year as migratory birds travel across international borders. It was a powerful reminder that conservation knows no boundaries and that every banquet, raffle ticket, sponsorship, and volunteer hour contributes to a continental conservation mission.
We were also honored to hear from multiple keynote speakers including Tammi Kircher, Ducks Unlimited National First Vice President, who shared her vision for the future of Ducks Unlimited and the importance of volunteer leadership, and Doug Frey, Conservation Pioneer, whose inspiring message reminded us of the lasting impact conservation efforts have on our wetlands, wildlife, and future generations. We also heard from several DU leaders in other areas including policy, conservation, and fundraising efforts.
At the end of the day, everyone gathered for an unforgettable evening at the Champions of Conservation Gala, celebrating the volunteers and supporters who make our mission possible. Congratulations to this year's award recipients, and a special thank you to our major donors, who were also recognized for their extraordinary generosity and unwavering commitment to wetlands conservation. Your investments and support fuel Ducks Unlimited's conservation work across North America and leave a legacy that will benefit wildlife and future generations for years to come.
Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, donor, and supporter who continues to make Ducks Unlimited the world's leader in wetlands conservation. Together, we're conserving the places where waterfowl thrive today and for generations to come.
This weekend proved why Texas continues to stay at the top in regards to fundraising efforts. Our volunteers and leadership are second to none!
