RAW is where it’s at!

Since my husband’s osteoarthritis is flaring up, I am making his favorite mixture for pain called: Cheetah Balm. If this looks familiar, it’s the same spices I use in fire honey except I’m using a quarter of a teaspoon rather than 1 teaspoon and I’m using Blackseed oil and castor oil instead of honey. Basically this is topical fire honey (w/o the honey). The Blackseed oil is a major bonus because there’s a study that shows that topically putting Blackseed oil on knee pain worked better than internal use of Tylenol. Blackseed oil is an anti-inflammatory and can also numb pain and increase circulation to the area to help speed up healing. Here is what you’ll need to make it: a 4 ounce jar. 2 ounces of Blackseed oil 2 ounces of castor oil 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ginger root powder. Mix it all together and make sure to shake it up before use each time. Put it directly on the area where you’re having inflammation and pain. Cover the area so it doesn’t stain and hold the moisture in longer. Wash your hands after use.
