Team Albany Adaptive Sports

Team Albany, travelimg home from the summer sports clinic in San Diego, California. So proud of these athletes. 

So today had Pete & Angie competing in the Motor Rally at the Mill City Museum, a very interesting place. Angie earned a gold and Pete earned a silver medal. We also got some results from yesterday's bowling competition Jason earned a gold medal and Thomas earned a bronze medal. Our team members who did air rifle all did their best but no medals for Team Albany in that category. We still have a few results to come in and we will report tomorrow if the team has earned anymore.

Another day down at the National Veteran's Wheelchair Games! Started out early with Jason competing in field events. Pete competed in Air Rifle mid morning. In the afternoon Angie & Thomas both competed in Boccia and both played great games and made some great shots. Angie advanced through the bracket to earn a Bronze medal. All other events from today do not have posted results as the competition continues. Join us tomorrow as we continue the competion and await results.

The Wheelchair Games are in full swing! After registration on Thursday both Angie & Thomas competed in Co****le and gave it their all.

Day 2 saw Jason competing in Archery and winning a gold medal! Then later Angie & Pete competed in the Motorized Slalom and earned a Gold and Bronze medal for their efforts.

Day 3 opened with Jason and Thomas competing in bowling, the results are not out yet as there is another day for bowlers tomorrow. Then later in the day Angie competed in 9 ball and earned a gold medal. Jason competed in air rifle, results are not available until all competitors have had completed the competition.

Look for more results as we enter days 4, 5 and 6 of the competition!

Friends of Veterans and Team Albany had an incredibly successful Inaugural golf outing at Capitol Hills last week. The weather could not have been more perfect, the golfers got the opportunity to try teeing off with Will’s adaptive driver from the sitting position, Jason got to show off his Track Chair, and we got to tee off using a golf cannon at hole 1!
