Congratulations to Collierville Arts Academy/Memphis Fencer Paul Folkerts! He sojourned down to Shreveport LA over the weekend to compete in the 2022 Fencing Junior Olympic Qualifiers for his division (Ark-LA-Miss) in Foil AND Epee!

We are proud to share that Paul took THIRD PLACE in Junior Epee (qualifying him to go to the JOs) AND captured FIRST PLACE in Junior Foil (ALSO qualifying him to go compete at the JOs)!!

The 2022 Junior Olympic Championships in Fencing will be held Feb 18-21 in Salt Lake City, UT.

Way to go, Paul!!!

Although the U of M cannot seem to handle having fencing onsite, there IS fencing in the area for ANYONE who would like to either try or practice/train.

Simply contact me - Coach Tom - at 901-258-1075 and I can update you on times/place, etc.

Heck I can even supply you with equipment if that's what you need. Just come out and give it a try?

AND TO ALL MY FORMER STUDENTS: get your butts out and cross some blades at least ONCE in a while??? 🙂
