On September 22nd, Summer Solstice AND International Yoga Day festivities will be held all morning at the India Cultural Center in Eads, TN to celebrate Yoga and the Memphis Yoga community!
Olivia and I will be teaching one of the several Yoga segments presented by the united Memphis Yoga Community. (There may be some groovy conga playing happening too.) Delicious Indian Food will be served at no charge.

These exercises and meditations are powerful tools for breaking up the stick energy in our bodies and psyches. Re-claim yourself, re-claim your experiences. Let’s let go of our ingrained, autopilot patterns of tension, worry, stress, sorrow, separation, and negativity. This is YOUR experience. You get to decide what the tones of your primary experiences are. Break up the patterns that don’t lead you to joy. Let go of the anxiety that masks your authentic expression. Relax. Be you. This is your life, these are your experiences — let it be Blissful 🙏✌️🙌

This is your practice. Bring it home. Practice on the mat, practice on the front lawn, in your living room. It doesn’t matter where. The important thing is that your practice is YOUR practice. Don’t Get us wrong, we hope to always be here to share yoga and walk this journey with you. But when you develop your own practice that you do with commitment and consistency, the effects are transformative. A personal practice is life-changing on levels that takes years if your practice is only in the studio or over zoom.

Okay, but… 40 Days?! …in a row?? You betcha. 40 days. In a row.
🌟🙌 40 consecutive days of a meditation changes your habit. It breaks down old patterns and sweeps them away. Right out the front door and off the porch. And in the absence of those old patterns a new habit has time to form and take hold. You being to embody those new experiences.
40 days is a round of every cell in your body receiving information from your practice and beginning to circulate it. Every cell of our body has carbon. The carbon in the black strip of tape on cassette tapes records the sound vibrations and the carbon in our cells does the same thing. The sounds, the new pathways we create in our brains, the familiar feeling that leads to a strong habit… 40 days can feel challenging, but it’s a worthwhile foundation to develop. 🙌🌟
Don’t look for gurus. Don’t wait for someone to take you by the hand and drag you to your mat. Don’t wait for permission from an outside authority. YOU are the greatest authority in your life. You decide when to deepen your practice. When to create the changes you desire. When and how and what are all up to you.
We are happy to be part of your support system. We’re happy to encourage you, share our practice and space with you, and be your community. We’re here to walk with you. But taking the steps? That’s all up to you. 💖🙏🙌 This is and will always be YOUR practice. It’s your life to experience and your bliss to embody.

☀️ What is your greatest ambition? ☀️ What supports you now in making choices that lead you to an exciting future full of purpose, joy, and freedom?
What would you dare to dream if you were absolutely certain that dream would come true?
Go beyond what is likely to happen. Ignore whether it’s probable or likely. Is it possible? If it’s possible, you can make it happen. If someone else has done it, you can too. You are just as able, as magical, as capable as the people who have dreamt their dreams and brought them here — into reality. You are made of the same stuff. You are enough to create what ever life you want for yourself.
Pick your goals with love. See your vision with love. Set your intentions with love. Love for yourself, your ability, the inevitability of your dreams coming out of your heart and mind and existing here in the physical plane. Love is the path of least resistance. 💖
🙌 Remember how powerful you are.

🙌 Remember that you are enough, that you are capable of your wildest dreams.
Build the foundation and get that cosmic boost of energy — that inner power that reminds you exactly how capable, loved, and enough you really are. Our Kundalini Yoga Training includes in-depth conversation on the four Purusharthas and creating a vision statement for yourself. We use asana, pranayama, meditations, and writing exercises during that module to bring you into deeper connection and alignment with yourself.
