The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has begun the series "More Than" to showcase the untold stories of our student-athletes. Today marks the second story in the series featuring Yzzi Dsamou of Rhodes College Volleyball.

Taylor McNerney has been named the SAA Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week!

The senior delivered an impressive performance for the Lynx at the Slug Shootout, capturing first place in the 1,650-yard freestyle with the fastest time in the conference this season and the seventh-fastest time nationally. McNerney also recorded the SAA’s top times in the 400-yard individual medley, 200-yard individual medley and 200-yard butterfly.

Liam Ashton has been named the SAA Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week!

The freshman delivered a record-breaking performance for the Lynx, winning the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley while contributing to victories in the 200- and 400-yard medley relays. Ashton also broke the school record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.89 seconds. His 200-yard butterfly time currently ranks third nationally, while the 400-yard medley relay ranks second in the nation.

Yzzi Dsamou has been named the SAA Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week!

The senior delivered an impressive offensive performance for the Lynx, totaling 56 kills while hitting .370 across three matches to help Rhodes finish the weekend 3-0. Dsamou recorded 25 kills against Millsaps before closing out the weekend with 12 kills and a .500 hitting percentage against Maryville.

Henri Kettner has been named the SAA Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week!

The junior posted back-to-back shutouts to open conference play against Sewanee and Maryville. Kettner totaled 12 saves across the two matches, including nine against Maryville, to keep the Lynx unbeaten in SAA action.

Kettner Wins SAA Defensive Athlete of the Week

Junior Goalkeeper Henri Kettner has been named the SAA Defensive Athlete of the Week after earning two Shutouts to start conference play against in state rivals Sewanee and Maryville. Kettner had a total of 12 saves over the weekend, 3 against Sewanee and 9 against Maryville.
