Memphis Roller Derby celebrated its 20th anniversary this year! Swipe to see some major milestones through the years.

But shout out to all the veteran MRD skaters that founded and cultivated the league since its inception, as well as the current skaters, officials, volunteers, sponsors and fans—MRD wouldn’t be what it is without you!

Who are we?! MRD!

We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit!

MRD strives to keep skating accessible to the community by providing pay-what-you-can dues to all league members and offering multiple skate and derby schools each year with loaner gear for participants.

We’re skater-run!

What makes MRD such an amazing league is our dedicated volunteer skaters. Who leads practices? MRD skaters. Who teaches skate and derby schools? MRD skaters. Who coordinates bouts, fundraisers, travel for away games and our infamous HoHoHo Burlesque Show (tickets in bio, btw 😉)? MRD SKATERS!

We’re open gender & LGBTQ+ inclusive!

Y’ALL MEANS ALL! Inclusivity is a non-negotiable for MRD and all genders and sexualities are welcome in the league. Fostering a safe environment for members of the LGBTQ+ community is of utmost importance to MRD.
