Brandon and Blair attended the of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) annual meeting. This conference gathered CLARB MBM and MBE’s from across the US and world to share and learn from others and help set direction for the future of licensure.
Brandon is serving as Chair for one of the Exam Writing Committees for the Landscape Architecture Registration Exam (LARE). He has been on the committee for 6 years and continues to give back to the profession through this volunteer opportunity. Brandon also participated in a panel presentation session on Saturday titled “L.A.R.E Development, Performance and Future Enhancements”. The session focused on the latest LARE test enhancements and development process.
BPD is proud and thankful for Blair and Brandon’s continuous commitment to this profession and CLARB. We appreciate their dedication to landscape architecture.

This is the last post!
BPD has worked diligently to build strong, lasting relationships with our clients, The residential project here highlights one of those relationships. Starting in 2011, we reimagined the front entry to the home. Going through our typical design process, we worked closely with the client to create an entry they love.
The client called us back on several occasions to look at different things across her property, many of which were fixes that required no drawings or plans.
Then in 2024, the client asked us to assist in preparation for a holiday party. We worked under a time crunch to coordinate new planters for the front entry. We assisted with ordering and scheduling delivery to ensure all materials arrived and were installed for the Holiday Party.

While Earth Day comes around once a year, we are grateful for our planet all year long.
As landscape architects, we’re using today as a reminder that sustainable design can be a driving force in creating a more resilient future for our planet.
BPD is proud to be able to take part in such a process, one idea at a time. 🌎

Day 4: Landscape Architects Help Communities Thrive By...
For day 4, BPD is highlighting an urban infill project near Overton Park in Memphis, TN. BPD worked on the planning and design of the vacated right of way land to re-knit the neighborhood that was bisected by the planned I-40 extension through the city. When that extension was halted, the land sat vacant for years. This project worked to reconnect the neighborhood across Sam Cooper Boulevard with properly scaled housing . The design team engaged in a rigorous community engagement process and the project was better after feedback from stakeholder groups and the neighbors. park was completed around the beginning of 2023 and is a great addition to Memphis.
A great project with a great design team: 4FDesign Makowsky Ringel Greenberg, LLC ETI Corporation CaissaK12

Today, on as part of , BPD celebrates our licensed landscape architects, Blair Parker and Brandon Doss.
Professional Landscape Architects (PLA) are licensed designers by the state in which they are working. PLA's have met the requirements of the state, passed a licensure exam, and are required to take professional development hours each year to maintain their license.
Thank you to all licensed landscape architects for their work protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the spaces we create.
