Peanut Craft Lures

One more thank you post from Donna Emery Kellems and John Kellems I promise it will be the last (maybe….😉) I want to thank again the T-shirt sponsors. I will tag all I can later in the post. If I miss someone please let me know so I can edit. I also want to recognize the raffle winners. The 2 $1000 DNW gift cards - Jason Pitcher and David Kraan. 2 Guided trout trips - Andy West and David Kraan. Taxidermy mount - Robert Ortman. 3 Coolers (2 donated by Trinity Rail) & US Spray Lawn Service - Amber Woods Jones, Adam Jean and Allan Brown. Academy gift card from Peek-a-Boo Baby Boutique & Ultrasound, Ed’s catfish donated a gift card. We also had numerous draw prizes…… boxes of Unilever items from Jeremy Brown, lures from Peanut Craft Lures, lures from Buckeye Lures, cups, tools and gift card from Battery Outfitters, Inc. Also donations from Tim Speakes with Speakes Electric and Fearless Nutrition Brookland.

Also the many anglers that showed up to support Hudsyn. 43 paid entries. If you don’t know about bass tournaments, that is a pretty large showing for this area. A few couldn’t make the tournament but expressed their appreciation for being able to support the family. The tournament winners were 1st Jarrett Prince and Jamie Prince. 2nd went to Nathaniel Bo Freeman and Mike Damron. 3rd went to Jeremy Parker and his son Ryland (hope I spelled that right) I understand this was Ryland’s first tournament. We are certainly proud of him and hope he continues to love the sport. Big bass also went to the Prince team with a 6.55 bass.

The many organizers and helpers on tournament day. Janet Baugh Ortman did a fantastic job and put in weeks of work. Kim Huffman for her work on tournament day and some great pics from the morning blast off. Kyle Pruett and his family for making and wrapping sandwiches. P.d. Welch and Donna Welch for cooking the butts for the sandwiches. Robert Ortman for drinks. I know I haven’t listed everyone and I apologize because there are some names I don’t know. Let me know names and I will add more to the list.

I was thrilled to be able to FaceTime Hudsyn a couple of times during the tournament. She was very excited to see all the boats and people there. She was in awe of the “fast” boats.

Finally a personal note about a certain person at the tournament. (I don’t want anyone else to be insulted if I didn’t mention you specifically but it got a little overwhelming trying to keep up with all the good deeds) This particular person caught everyone’s attention I believe. His name is David Kraan. I don’t know if he even has Facebook or will see this but hopefully someone will tell him. If you noticed he won a couple of the prizes. This man was at the ramp when the tournament anglers began arriving. He was not there for the tournament and nobody knew him. He asked what was going on and they told him. He asked about donating and also prayed for Hudsyn. He bought quite a few raffle tickets and tickets for the DNW card. He also made a separate donation to the family. At the last minute he bought more tickets for the DNW card and won. He promised to split the card with another angler he met that he had talked to about it. I will not say how much he donated to respect his privacy but he gave a large amount to a benefit that he knew nothing about that morning. Most important he promised to pray for her and put her on his prayer list. Everyone was amazed at his generosity towards people he did not know. He has become one of Hudsyn’s heroes to us.

I’m sure this post will be edited to add more. But again THANK YOU to everyone who had any part in the Hook Em’ for Hudsyn Benefit Bass Tournament

The tournament scheduled for Bay Springs this weekend has been moved to Pickwick, stateline ramp.
We got a call this morning from Corp of Engineer mobile informing us that they are still under the under 10 people rule and if we have more than 10 they would have to write us a citation.
Danny made the call to switch to Pickwick. If y’all have any questions give me a call.

Triple Ugly gets hammered

You've been seeing the videos...Here's another one from the July 4th weekend...

Recently you saw me working a rock bank now it’s brush off the bank in a creek. I’m telling you the TripleUgly is the real deal. I’m glad I can show you this thing in action. I hope y’all are enjoying the videos too.

Sometimes when I am covering water, it doesn’t matter if it is a bank full of leaning logs, buck brush, grass line, pads, stump field, or a rock bank like this one, I like throwing a Peanut Craft Lures Triple Ugly Spinnerbait. There are combinations a bass just has not seen. I love introducing fish to this spinnerbait...and then giving them a free ride to the weigh in. Amphibia Eyegear Dobyns Rods Shut Up And

Attention: Those of you fishing Enid tomorrow for the Mississippi Trail, we will be launching from McCurdy ramp on the north side of the dam. It is between the dam and Wallace ramp.

The May 11 tournament at McKeller has been rescheduled to July 13th.
