✨ TEACHER SPOTLIGHT: Meet Brittney Becton ✨
Start your Thursday with Brittney ✨ Her Thursday 7:00AM Espresso Flow (45 min) is a strength-based, energetic flow designed to wake you up and get you moving. Expect creative sequencing and playlists rooted in ’80s and ’90s hip-hop and R&B that keep the vibe grounded, energizing, and fun. 🎶
Brittney first discovered yoga as a college elective, but after unexpectedly losing her mom in 2022, yoga became much more than movement—it became a safe place to land when life felt chaotic. Through her practice and teacher training, she found a way to breathe through difficult moments, build strength in new ways, and embrace a new season of life.
She has been teaching for three years, and teaches Power Flow Vinyasa and Sculpt. Her favorite poses include Half Moon, Horizon Pose, and hip openers, and she loves incorporating strength-based movement into her classes.
Outside the studio, Brittney leads the employee wellbeing program at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, helping employees feel their best so they can be their best for others. When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her traveling, reading, enjoying a great cup of coffee, or spending time in her garden 🌿☕️📚
A mantra she lives by:
“I wouldn’t change anything about my life. My experiences have made me who I am. Inner peace is about finding what lies inside, celebrating it, then sharing it with the world.” 🍯🐝💖

Join Katie Carpenter for movement, mindfulness, games, and fun on the mat! And while the kids are in class, parents can enjoy our Power Flow class happening at the same time. ✨

✨ TEACHER SPOTLIGHT: Meet Ariel Phillips ✨
Need an afternoon pick-me-up? Join Ariel for Tuesday 4:15PM Espresso Flow ⚡️ Ariel creates a fun, high-energy experience that will leave you feeling strong, sweaty, and recharged for the rest of your day.
Born and raised in the Memphis area, Ariel currently works as a research clinic manager, helping answer important questions surrounding children’s growth and development. She’s also a proud dog mom to the cutest Maltichon, Ollie 🐾
Ariel first found yoga through a friend and quickly realized how powerful it was to carve out time each week to feel more present and grounded. The heat, the challenge, and the sense of community at HYP are what kept her committed to the practice.
Ariel jumped into HYP’s Power Vinyasa Teacher Training in January 2026 and quickly discovered how much she loves the challenge, energy, and fun of teaching Power Flow. Her favorite poses are Child’s Pose and Half Pigeon for their grounding, deep hip-opening benefits.
Outside the studio, Ariel loves getting lost in books—especially fantasy, romance, and stories that make her feel something meaningful 📚
Fun fact: Ariel has a soft spot for Broadway musicals, so don’t be surprised if your savasana comes with a side of show tunes 🎭✨
