🤼‍♂️ Day 1 Complete at the Tiger’s Den Duals! 🤼‍♂️

What a great day of wrestling in Slidell, Louisiana!

Elite Wrestling Academy, Cleveland, and Wave Wrestling joined forces this weekend and finished Day 1 with a perfect 4-0 record. The boys wrestled with heart, toughness, and determination all day long.

We have 3 more duals tomorrow, and the mission is clear—finish strong and compete for the championship!

Proud of the effort, the teamwork, and the fight these young men have shown so far. Now it’s time to rest up and get ready for one more day of battle.

Some of these kids wrestled together for 7 or 8 years. They've spent countless hours in the wrestling room, traveled together, competed side by side, celebrated wins, and pushed each other through tough losses.

Now most of them are in high school. Some are teammates, some are competitors on opposite sides of the mat, but the friendships built through wrestling remain stronger than ever.

This weekend they all came together for Maria's Quinceañera, and it was a great reminder that wrestling is about so much more than wins and losses.

Elite is family and the kids have made memories that will last forever.

There will be no practice this Thursday or Friday due to prep and travel for the Tigers’ Den Duals in Louisiana. Have a great weekend all- and hopefully we return with some nice hardware! 👊🏼🏆

Last night Elite Wrestling hosted a "Fight Night" led by CBHS coaches Derek Harrison and Coach G. Wrestlers from several gyms- Elite, Wave, Bartlett, Houston, etc- came together ranging from elementary age to recently graduated athletes.
The night started with an intense practice that led into live matches, but the biggest lesson of the night had nothing to do with wins or losses. The athletes were reminded to never take anything for granted and that we are about more than wrestling.
The coaches spoke about C**t Maughon from Cleveland and the battle he's currently facing. They talked about the power of prayer, the strength C**t has shown through the hardest days of his life, and how he was able to get up and walk the hospital just 48 hours after his 9.5 hour open heart surgery.
Wrestlers are built different. No matter what city, school, or gym they come from-- they are family.
The night ended in a prayer for C**t, and we will continue praying for him, his family and his recovery.

We’re also going to be honoring and praying for Cleveland Wrestler C**t Maughon who is recovering from an illness and heart surgery. This Friday at Friday Fight Night- Elite Wrestling Academy family and the Memphis Wrestling community will be coming together for a special balloon release and prayer for C**t Maughon as he prepares for heart surgery.

We ask everyone to join us in lifting up C**t, his doctors, and his family during this difficult time. C**t is a fighter, and we believe in the power of prayer, faith, and community.
