We are still shocked by the sudden news that our beloved club will be folding. While there are so many emotions swirling around right now, the one we want to express the most is gratitude.

Whether you joined us for a pint at , got rowdy in the stands with us at , or supported the club from afar, thank you.

To all of our Mafia family, past and present, thank you.

To the former players and coaches who took a lot of personal and professional risk to help build this club from nothing, thank you.

To the current players and coaching staff, thank you for working your tails off to make us proud. You connected to our community in a truly special way. For that, we could not be more grateful.

To the opposing fans who gave us crap but still came to support your teams or welcomed us to your towns to share our love of the beautiful game, thank you. (Yes, even you, Birmingham.) We hope to share a round with you all soon.

To the amazing and AZP staff behind the scenes over the years, thank you. We have seen many of you come and go, but you all were the key to making these last few years as special as they were. You have dealt with more crap than we can even imagine, and that is not lost on us.

In a short time, this group has afforded many of us the opportunity to forge life-long relationships with people who would otherwise be complete strangers. Some of us found a place of belonging for the first time. Some of us met our significant others here. Some of us were able to show parts of ourselves to the world that we have held inside for so long.

Even more than the highs and lows of sports fandom, we have been able to share so many happy experiences with each other: engagements, weddings, child births, promotions, graduations, first houses. We have also been able to shed tears and support each other through hard times: deaths, divorces, layoffs, illnesses.

There are countless others to mention, but we can only type so much on Instagram when we should be working. Just know that if you had any part to play in our journey, thank you.

We are working on a farewell party and will keep you all posted. Until then, MEMPHIS ‘TIL I DIE!

This week, lost its biggest supporter, and we lost a dear member of our Mafia family. Before and throughout her long fight with cancer, Jenn Garber was the momma bear that helped so many of us keep our sanity.

She loved to chant, “Come on, Memphis, score a goal! It’s really really simple!”

Please keep her husband Wayne and the whole Garber family in your thoughts. Visitation will be tonight from 5:00 to 6:30 at Bellevue Baptist Church with a service directly after. We will have a remembrance for Jenn at an upcoming 901 FC match.
