Lab Family and Special Guest, Sonny Weems came in to lead today’s group session!
Our athletes didn’t just get another workout—they learned from someone who has competed at the highest levels of the game. From the SEC to the NBA and a successful international professional career, Sonny shared the mindset, habits, and attention to detail that separate good players from great ones.
This is what the PRIMETIME Lab is all about: exposing athletes to elite knowledge, championship habits, and the people who have lived the journey they aspire to take.
Thank you, Sonny Weems, for investing in the next generation. Your impact goes far beyond the basketball court. 🤝
Grow the game. Impact the world.

Footwork training in basketball must be intentional.
Too often, athletes run through ladders, cones, and agility drills without understanding the purpose behind the movement. Elite footwork isn’t about moving your feet faster—it’s about controlling your body, maintaining balance, and placing your feet in the right position at the right time.
The best players in the world don’t just practice skills; they practice how they move.
Every rep should teach body control, balance, deceleration, change of direction, and proper foot placement. These details are what allow players to create separation, finish plays, defend at a high level, and perform consistently under pressure.
Whether it’s a ladder drill, cone series, pivot progression, or defensive movement drill, the goal is the same: develop efficient movement patterns that translate directly to game situations.
Footwork isn’t extra work. It’s the foundation that allows every other skill to show up when it matters most.
Train with intention. Move with purpose. Master the details.
