Reasons Why Adults Need Regular Exercise:
To maintain a healthy weight: Exercise burns calories and can help to maintain a healthy weight, which can reduce the risk of obesity-related health problems such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers.
To improve cardiovascular health: Regular exercise can improve heart health by reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels, which can lower the risk of heart disease and stroke.
To reduce stress and improve mental health: Exercise can help to reduce stress and anxiety by releasing endorphins, which are natural mood boosters. It can also improve sleep quality and reduce symptoms of depression.
To increase strength and flexibility: Regular exercise can help to increase muscle strength and flexibility, which can improve balance and reduce the risk of falls in older adults.
To improve overall health and well-being: Exercise has many health benefits, including improving overall physical health, reducing the risk of chronic diseases, and improving quality of life.
In summary, regular exercise is important for maintaining good health and reducing the risk of chronic diseases, both physical and mental.

2. Create a plan and stick to it: Develop a workout plan that fits your schedule and lifestyle, and stick to it. Consistency is key when it comes to achieving your fitness goals.ďż˝
3. Find a workout buddy: Working out with a friend or family member can make exercising more enjoyable and help keep you accountable. You can motivate each other and push each other to achieve your goals.ďż˝

Sometimes we wake up and we are not feeling our best for whatever reason. Whatever it is, you’re just not feeling it that day. Zero energy. Zero motivation. Zero willpower. One of “those” days. We all have been there.
These are the times when you have to find that little push to get to the gym and workout. What I’ve found best to combat “those days” is to have my non-negotiables set that I have to do no matter what. Life happens to all of us and our plans get de-railed all the time, but we can’t let that interfere with the goals we have set in the gym.
My non-negotiable will be different than yours. For example, you might say that no matter what happens this week you will do cardio 4 times. For someone else it might be lifting weights is a non-negotiable and they are committed to doing that 5 days per week.
The whole idea is to hold yourself accountable. It’s non-negotiable. You have to get it done, and so you do.
Together with Tekne Training we can help you reach your fitness and nutrition goals.

How is Myofascial Release different from Massage?
Myofascial release applies sustained pressure on targeted areas of connective tissue (fascia) that surround your muscles and bones. If you notice persistent pain that doesn't dissipate even after icing and rest, myofascial release could be a good option. Many patients say that they start to feel immediate relief after just one session.
Massage involves stroking and kneading motions, usually administered with lubricants, making it easy for the therapist to slide their hands over the recipient’s skin.If you have muscle soreness from working out and/or from sitting at a desk, a massage could give you the tension release that you need to get rid of the knots and feel better.

HOW TO GET MORE VITAMIN C
It’s officially peak flu season. Fortunately, there’s a simple solution to boost your immune system and hopefully keep yourself healthy this winter, Vitamin C.
Since Vitamin C is water-soluble it means our bodies can absorb it, but they can’t store it or produce it. Basically, the only way to get more Vitamin C is by eating foods that have a high concentration of the nutrient or by taking supplements.
Here are three ways to add more Vitamin C to your diet this winter to keep the sniffles (and extra weight) away:
1. Red bell pepper - Technically, all bell peppers have Vitamin C and various antioxidants. But if you’re looking to get the biggest bang for your buck, stock up on red bell peppers.
2. Cruciferous vegetables – broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts – all have a high Vitamin C content.
3. Citrus fruits - Oranges and other citrus fruits are all high in Vitamin C (one orange can have up to 70mg!) and have fewer sugars than fruit juices.
