At Master Kim’s Tae Kwon Do, success isn’t only about kicking and punching. We want our students to become stronger at home, at school, and in life!

Our Little Tigers work toward their goals by:

Our second Master Kim’s Tae Kwon Do location in Nampa is getting closer to opening! 🔥

Master Ryker is getting ready to lead our Nampa location, and we’re so excited to bring the MKTKD family to a new community!

🥋 SO PROUD OF OUR MKTKD STUDENTS! 🥋

What an amazing Promotion Testing we had this past Saturday!

At MKTKD, Promotion Testing is about so much more than earning a new belt or moving up to the next rank.

The belt is the result — but the journey is what truly matters.

Every student who stood on the testing floor had a journey behind them.
The classes they showed up for.
The skills they practiced over and over.
The days they felt tired but kept going.
The mistakes they learned from.
The confidence they built.
And the discipline it took to never give up.

That is what Promotion Testing represents.

We are not only watching our students become better at Tae Kwon Do. We are watching them become stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally. We see their confidence grow, their discipline improve, and their character develop one step at a time.

Some journeys are faster. Some take more time. But every step forward matters.

I could not be more proud of our MKTKD Competition Demo Team. The power. The speed. The precision. The energy. And most importantly — the dedication behind every single movement.

This was not just a demonstration.

This was the result of countless hours of training, discipline, teamwork, and commitment.

Watching our team step onto that stage with confidence and represent Master Kim’s Tae Kwon Do at such a high level was something truly special.

You didn’t simply perform.

YOU OWNED THE STAGE. 🔥

Our Competition Demo Team continues to push the standard higher and show what martial arts can look like when talent meets discipline, passion, and hard work.

They earn these awards by completing their chores, eating healthy foods, listening to their parents, and showing great focus both at home and in class. We are so proud to see our young students growing into responsible, respectful, and confident leaders. Every small step they take today helps build a strong foundation for their future.

Hello MKTKD Family! ❤️

I miss every single one of you already… I might even cry when I see everyone again! 😂❤️

I wanted to let you all know that my surgery was a success. It was a big surgery that lasted about 4 hours, but everything went very well. I truly believe it went so smoothly because of all the prayers, love, and support from our amazing MKTKD family.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your prayers, messages, and encouragement have meant more to me than words can express.

I also want to give a special thank you to our incredible MKTKD team—our Masters, instructors, leadership team, and staff. ❤️ Thank you for stepping up, taking care of our students, supporting one another, and continuing to lead with passion while I recover. Seeing our team come together reminds me that MKTKD is so much more than a martial arts school—we are truly a family. I couldn’t be more proud or grateful for each and every one of you.

Recovery isn’t just about healing physically. Every day, I am becoming stronger physically, stronger mentally, and stronger in my heart. This experience has reminded me that our greatest growth often comes from our biggest challenges.

“A black belt is not someone who never falls. A black belt is someone who always gets back up.”

To all of our students: remember that life will bring challenges, setbacks, and difficult moments. What makes a true martial artist is not avoiding those moments, but choosing to stand back up with courage, determination, and a positive attitude.

I’ll continue working hard on my recovery, and I promise I’ll come back even stronger than before. Until then, keep training hard, keep encouraging one another, and never give up on your goals.

I can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces again.

Our Leadership Team Camp was one for the books! 🏕️🔥 (A little late posting, but too good not to share!)

This weekend wasn’t just about camping—it was about building leaders, creating lifelong friendships, and becoming stronger together. We laughed, learned, challenged each other, and created memories that will stay with us forever.

One of the greatest parts of Master Kim’s Tae Kwon Do isn’t just the martial arts—it’s the family we build. Watching our Masters and Leadership Team communicate, support one another, and grow as a team reminds me why we do what we do.

A strong school isn’t built by one instructor. It’s built by an incredible team that shares the same vision, works together, and lifts each other up every single day. 💙

To every Master, instructor, leadership student, and family who makes this community so special—THANK YOU. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you.

And this is only the beginning… We can’t wait for the next adventure! 👊
