NEUROMUSCULAR TRAINING:
I didn’t make Gracie stronger in two sessions.
I helped her reorganize her movement with the strength she already has.
As a pitcher, Gracie has a lot of power in her upper body, but the output from her lower body did not match.
The picture on the left, shows a ‘reach and stride’ movement, which is very passive.
The picture on the right reflects a push, project and drive intention.
And that matters.
A lot.
I taught her what using the ground and hip is supposed to FEEL like. And that gave her nervous system a specific task and better strategy - which helped her body organize around it!
Building strength is important.
But sometimes the missing piece isn’t strength.
It’s CONNECTION.
Especially when it comes to moving powerfully.
