Come join us for the Canyon State Challenge which is the last Pinnacle Shoot at Ben Avery until October 2022. 100 target main kicks off at 9 am to qualify for the 16 shooter bracket. The bracket will consist of HOA, RU and 1st & 2nd in all NSCA classes (M-E). All shoot-off pairings will be random. The top 8 shooters will walk off with $1125. in prize money (see flyer). Onsite registration is from 7:15am - 8:45am on Saturday. Hope to see you there ....

Next up for Pinnacle Shooting Sports, the "Last Chance 2021" shoot to be held at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center on December 18th. What's better then February in Arizona ? Registration for the Southwest Super Sporting Championship is now open on www.ScoreChaser.com. The Main Event, Prelim and all Sub-Gauge events will be in the Super Sporting format. In between you get to shoot a 50 target FITASC event and two 50 target 5-stand events to round out the shoot program. Hope to see all of our shooter family here while making some new friends along the way.

Getting ready for the 2022 Sonoran 600 in sunny Arizona. Good time to get out of those cold climates up north and come see us in Phoenix & Tucson. 6 separate events so you can shoot 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or all 6. 300 targets in Tucson on Saturday, 300 targets in Phoenix on Sunday. Pinnacle Shooting Sports would like to thank all of the shooters that came out to Rio Salado yesterday to kick off the winter season back in beautiful Arizona. Hats off to Jim Bellows who took HOA honors with a 96/100 followed closely by Chris Parsons with a 95/100. Some great scores in all classes !!

Next up for Pinnacle Shooting Sports is "Scott & Terry's Excellent Adventure" in Globe Arizona next weekend, October 16-17 (flyer attached). Some quick reminders for this shoot. The range has limited if any connectivity, so all entry fees will need to be cash or check. I shared that this will be the last sporting clays shoot in Globe, and therefore we are having a little "shindig" on Saturday afternoon when the shooting is over. Food, water, soda and adult beverages will be there as a thank you for those folks who make the trip.

Also, as this is the last shoot, we are kicking in some added money and class prizes (ammo) for those shooters that shoot both Saturday & Sunday. Combined score for both days is required to be eligible ... Weather is looking to be sunny & 75 degrees so you don't want to miss shooting in the canyon this one last time. Hope to see you there !!

March will be here before you know it. The 2022 Arizona State Championship is now available for registration on Score Chaser. The event moves back to Ben Avery this year March 9th-13th. You won't want to miss this one!

The Executive Committee (Scott & Terry) in charge of this shoot met recently at a posh resort in Globe. We wanted to share the meeting minutes which includes two key take-aways: 1) Good chance this will be the last Sporting Clays shoot at the Globe/Miami Gun Club, and 2) Taking into account #1, we are going to make it a party. The Executive Committee as defined above will be providing lunch and other refreshments (read ..... beer) to all participants on Saturday afternoon after everyone has finished shooting. If you don't like burgers, hot dogs and beer, please feel free to BYOF and BYOB. Entries are limited, registration is open on ScoreChaser so don't miss out !!😁😀😁

The 2021 Cactus Classic is on ScoreChaser and open for registration. This shoot is replacing the long running Fiocchi Cup and will be held at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center in Phoenix AZ, November 11-14, 2021. Working on additional sponsors, however, as a start we are adding $5000. added money for the Main Event. $1000. to HOA, $500. to RU. $300 to class 1st, $200 to class 2nd in all seven NSCA classes. This is on top of the BTC money and awards in all events. Average temps in Phoenix in November range from 65-80 degrees, hope to see all of our shooting family there !!

First, let me take a moment to wish Dan Twitchell all the best in retirement. It would seem a select few of us start out as avid shooters and end up working way too hard behind the scenes as target setters and shoot promoters. Dan has done some great things to elevate Arizona and as such it's his time to enjoy himself and hopefully do a bit of shooting !!

The Fiocchi Cup has always been one of the top shoots in Arizona and scheduled during one of the best times to be in the state. With changes at Fiocchi and in speaking with them, the Fiocchi Cup is officially retired as well. In it's place, Pinnacle Shooting Sports is presenting the 1st Annual Cactus Classic to be held at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center in Phoenix, November 11-14, 2021. Registration is currently open on ScoreChaser.com and we hope to see you at the range .....

Don't miss March Madness / AZ State Warm-up this weekend at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center. Separate events on Saturday & Sunday. Each day we will have a 100 target main event. Once we crunch the numbers, the 16 shooter bracket for over $1200. will be made up of HOA, RU and 1st & 2nd in all NSCA classes. Random draw for head to head pairings for the money .... February in AZ, hope to see our winter visitors in mass !! The Bornaghi Blast on February 5-7, 2021. 200 target Super Sporting main event .... Bornaghi ammo as prizes for the main in addition to $20. back to class. A 100 target prelim, 100 target FITASC and three 50 target 5-stands will round out the event. 550 targets total with something for everyone. Scott & Terry's Excellent Adventure. 10/31/2020 at the Globe/Miami Gun Club. We don't have a lot of terrain in AZ that allows for shots below the shooter .... not true at the Globe/Miami Gun Club. To put this in perspective, this range has no sporting clays to speak of. In the past, Terry did this as a labor of love. In a moment of weakness he allowed me to talk him into a yearly shoot. That being said, bringing in 30 machines, setting up a 100 target and a 50 target event. Batteries, targets, stands, menus, signage, registration area, etc ..... not an easy undertaking by any means. Hope to see you there !!

The 4th annual Sonoran 600 will be held January 23-24, 2021 at Coyote Springs in Tucson AZ (Saturday) and Ben Avery Clay Target Center (Sunday). Two ranges, two days, 6 courses, 600 targets.
