Still foam rolling the same IT band?

Still stretching the QL?

Still chasing the same patterns week after week?

Sometimes the tension isn't the problem. It's the body's adaptation to something else.

Join Waugh and George for a 3-day Art of Bodywork® intensive where you'll learn practical assessment and treatment techniques for common structural and movement patterns, including:

• Rotated ilium
• Chronic QL tightness
• IT band restrictions
• Piriformis dysfunction
• Thoracic mobility limitations
• Respiration mechanics
• Foot pronation
• Scoliosis patterns
…and much more.

This course is approximately 95% hands-on, giving you the opportunity to learn, practice, test, and apply techniques immediately.

Some practitioners spend years chasing symptoms.
Rolling the IT band.
Stretching the QL.
Adjusting posture.
Cueing movement.
…and still wondering why the restriction keeps coming back like a raccoon raiding the same trash can at 2am. 🦝
What if the issue isn’t where the pain is showing up?
At our 3-day Art of Bodywork® workshop this October in Mesa, AZ, we teach assessment and release techniques designed to help you think differently about compensation patterns, structural tension, movement restrictions, and chronic holding patterns.
This is not a lecture-heavy weekend.
It’s hands-on. Practical. Clinical.
You’ll learn how to:
✨ Assess more effectively
✨ Test and re-test your work
✨ Recognize compensation patterns
✨ Apply techniques immediately in practice
✨ Stop “forever rolling” tissues that may need a completely different approach

You already know scars can change the body.

MSTR® Level 2 is where we begin exploring how deeply those adaptations can organize movement, tension patterns, breath mechanics, guarding, compensation, and neurological response.
This course is designed for certified MSTR® practitioners ready to refine:
• assessment skills
• tissue listening
• glide specificity
• complex scar applications
• abdominal and post-surgical work
• adhesions and deeper restrictions
• advanced integration strategies
Less protocol memorization.
More clinical reasoning.
More nuance.
More precision.
Honestly, Level 2 changes the way many practitioners see the body.
And once you see it… you can’t unsee it.

Scars change more than just skin.

They can influence posture, movement patterns, breath mechanics, proprioception, tension, balance, and sometimes symptoms clients have been chasing for years without connecting the dots.

That’s one reason we continue teaching MSTR® to practitioners across the U.S. and internationally.

Once you begin recognizing how the body adapts around restriction, you start seeing compensation patterns everywhere.

And honestly… it changes assessment forever.

If you’ve ever looked at a client and thought:
“There’s something deeper driving this pattern…”

…you’re probably already asking the right questions.

Scars are rarely “just skin deep.”

Every week I work with clients who have spent years chasing pain, tension, mobility issues, breathing restrictions, or movement compensations… never realizing an old scar or adhesion may still be influencing the system.

That’s why I continue teaching MSTR® to practitioners around the world. 🌍

These LIVE ONLINE trainings are designed to help practitioners better understand how scar tissue can affect:
🧠 the nervous system
🫁 breathing mechanics
🚶 movement patterns
⚖️ balance & coordination
🧍 posture & compensation strategies

I rarely take photos immediately after treatment because well, tissue often looks a little “pink” and "worked" right afterward.
But this time… I literally stopped in my tracks. These changes were unfolding before my eyes and fingers in real time. ✨The scar tissue softened. The surrounding tissue relaxed. The congestion visibly reduced. The tissue began looking more integrated and alive almost immediately. This was such a beautiful reminder that MORE pressure or time is not always better.

Sometimes the biggest shifts happen when we:
💙 slow down
💙 listen to the tissue
💙 trust the nervous system
💙 stop overworking the area.

I also incorporated several of the techniques we teach in our Level 2 MSTR® course, and this is exactly why I encourage practitioners to continue expanding their skill set beyond the foundational work. Level 2 is where so much of the “magic” starts to unfold:
✨ layering
✨ integration
✨ nervous system communication
✨ tissue listening
✨ subtlety
✨ precision

So Trust the process & the technique. The body often responds beautifully when we stop fighting it.

✨ My heart is so full today. ✨

Spending the day with this incredible group for our MSTR® Level 2 class reminded me why I love teaching so much. These women aren’t just students… they’re practitioners, healers, and storytellers. Listening to their experiences with scar tissue treatment, and the wisdom they bring from their own practices, was nothing short of powerful.

What a day of learning, sharing, and connection. Truly one of those days that fills your cup in all the best ways. 💙

Please help me welcome this amazing group:
💫 Becky McLoughlin
💫 Megan Marks
💫 Sue Pfendler
💫 Lydie Robsham
💫 Elizabeth Dimick
💫 Cindy Roundtree

And a quick hello to Julia and Emily—so glad you stopped by briefly! I’ll see you (and David) on June 27 for your class.

Grateful. Inspired. And already looking forward to the next one.

So much fun yesterday hosting two MSTR® refresher groups 💛
Watching practitioners who went through certification years ago (pre-2022!) experience the newer material never gets old. The questions, the lightbulb moments, the “wait… WHAT?” reactions ✨

Becky McLoughlin, Kimberly Kannitz, and David Moore — I’ll see you all in Level 2 👀

If it’s been a bit since you’ve revisited the material, a refresher course might be exactly what you need.
Check the website for upcoming dates and choose your instructor. We offer group refreshers and 1:1 options.

Open to certified and non-certified practitioners.
If you took the course over two years ago (prior to 2023) and did not certify, Level 1 will need to be retaken.

Always grateful for curious minds and seasoned hands in the room 🌱
