🙌🏾It's a new week . . . let's start off with some Monday momentum! Click on the video for a little message: https://youtu.be/pULNqKNv0cs
Let's build some Monday momentum. Sometimes we lose that sense of control with all of the things that need to get done! Use today to gain it back. BREATHE. Get out your "MUST DO" list, get organized, think "how," and jot some realistic things down that you KNOW you can accomplish.
🙌🏾 Mondays symbolize a new beginning, which can lead to a mental refocus. If you have an odd schedule, think about that day that begins again - and use these same concepts.
🙌🏾 Maybe you will benefit by creating a new routine or honing in on a habit that needs changing - add some more practice today.
🙌🏾 There is a psychological boost that can happen when we plan on purpose and can actually wipe some things from the "to do" list - it helps inspire us forward.
🙌🏾 Set up your intentions for the week with clear direction and focus. DROP ME A LINE on what you're going to try getting done that you didn't last week, OR, something that you know you can continue working on.
🙌🏾 Make today PRODUCTIVE! A productive Monday sets the tone for continued progress, building momentum for the week.
Let go of what didn't happen last week, or even yesterday, and really focus on how to do better TODAY. Let's not beat ourselves up; let's just DO BETTER, starting NOW!

Thank you to so many! JACS Figure on FIT was a dream that started in 1994 and came to fruition (an LLC) in 2014. The pic below - my "third" place - unconventional, in a mall! Maybe I can consider it my 4th place because we started outside, in the park! Crazy ride, crazy fun! You know who you are out there who hung with me at one or all of JACS locations - forever grateful to you!
The picture below is 2020 after a Pound for Fitness class! The energy, the fun - who knew what was around the corner (dare I say it - Covid)! It didn't stop us; we just made adjustments, picked right back up and kept on going!
And then I had to make a decision about continuing my lease in August! Decided to take JACS online - it wasn't part of the dream, but it sure has kept it going! We sometimes need to just do that . . . ADJUST and figure things out along the way! I'm feeling pretty darn grateful! Grateful for then. Grateful for now. Grateful to so many people.
JACS is a place for ALL fitness levels to get the good FEELING of fitness! It's not how we look, it's the magic that happens when we feel good about ourselves. Movement is MAGIC however you decide to get it!
Feeling good helps you put your dream making into ACTION! I'm vowing to do more of it in 2024! Who's in for that!

Continue to think about your goals . . . on purpose and with intention! As a wellness coach, I can only impart my authentic and honest thoughts on the holidays. Fun time of the year, actually my favorite. It’s family time, friend time, work parties, social hours, trips, special outings – all of those things that contribute to commUNITY, social life and connection. It’s definitely an important aspect of total health.
With that, I don’t believe good health takes vacations. Fun can still be had while still considering your overall well-being. I do believe in balance, but I do know, from my own personal experience that over indulgence leads to regrets. So be aware, and honest with yourself - - don't give in just because it's easier (our pleasure center thrives here - human nature). Some tips below 👇 - hope this helps! I'd love your thoughts and feedback! 💭 Do any of these help you?
✅ Drink up on water - all day. Consuming water before a holiday meal (30 minutes prior) helps with portion control.
✅ Eat some protein before the parties (we feel full longer) and it may help in portion control as well.
✅ Eat to plan "most" of the day. DO NOT go to a party hungry.
✅ Get plenty of rest - - it helps with reducing sweet and salty cravings.
✅ Definitely get your planned workouts completed and if possible, add more movement in your day (an extra walk, an extra workout). But realize that you can NOT exercise away the food that you eat.
✅ Definitely DO NOT skip any meals because it's easier to overindulge at the parties when blood sugar drops from not eating.
✅ If you "have" to have sweets, take a bite without eating the whole thing to satisfy that holiday habit - so don't totally deprive yourself, but SET A LIMIT in advance.
✅ If you "have" to have alcohol - try a less calorie type drink with no sugar/syrups. OR, try carbonated water.
✅ Bring a dish when applicable - something that you know is ok for you to consume.
✅ Think protein and complex carb for meals when traveling.
✅ Look ahead at menus and plan what is best to eat.
ADJUST your MINDSET that you are not depriving yourself, but creating a new lifestyle that does include a healthier approach to the holidays, heck, to living! BELIEVE that you can reach your goals and remember to line up the action to get to them. Enjoy every single party, every single get together, every single tradition - - just consider moderation and utilize the tips above.
