Arizona Desert Gems - Synchronized Swim Team

ADG is a non-profit amateur synchronized swim team and a member of the United States Synchronized Swimming Association (USSS).

ADG is based in North Phoenix, Arizona. The team philosophy is to have fun, while every team member realizes their full physical, mental, and emotional potential in synchronized swimming. We strive to create a positive environment where our swimmers can learn to be good team members, set goals, learn time management and be well-rounded athletes and students. Our coaches not only have extensive synchronized swimming knowledge, but are also good communicators and good role models.

As many of you know, Greece was forced to withdraw from the Tokyo Olympic Games on August 3rd due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the team. We extend our sympathies to the athletes and hope for speedy recoveries.

Upon receiving the news that the Greek team withdrew, USA Artistic Swimming and the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee worked incredibly hard to enter the U.S. team as a replacement. As the next team up, it would have been incredible for the world to witness the Robot routine on the Olympic stage after the team initially missed Olympic qualification by just .2 points. Our athletes deserved every effort that we could put forth. Unfortunately, strict protocols and time were against us. While disappointed in the decision, we will continue to celebrate the journey, look back with gratitude and look forward with much enthusiasm.
