✝️Good Friday is upon us. Please spend some time meditating on the depth of our Lord’s merciful love.

Todays practice is a slow flow contemplating the crowing of thorns.

Journal Questions:

Is Jesus the King of your heart? Do you prioritize and live your life accordingly?

Do you seek the Lord’s guidance regularly?

What can you do to free yourself to receive him more completely? Is anything holding you back?

In loving Jesus, we must first know him. What questions can you ask Jesus to better know and love him?

Todays practice is a power flow.

Here are some corresponding journal questions:

Do you acknowledge the restraint it took Jesus to not shield himself from suffering on our behalf?

Has there been a time you were wrongfully accused? A time when your intentions were misunderstood or even slandered?

How can you rely on God more fully at these times?

Do you strike back in instinct, or do you pray for God’s guidance when faced with conflict? Do you seek God’s provision to patiently endure trials?

Do you long for vengeance or repentance for those who trespass against you?

Here are some optional journaling questions to follow if you want to dig deeper on The agony in the garden. (Mark 14:32-36)

-Jesus asks for another way, but is still ready to yield in totally surrender and obedience. Has there ever been a time you knew God’s will and …yet prayed for another way?

-What brings you strength at a time such as that? Do you rely on his strength or your own?

-What is the posture of you heart as you obey Gods will over your own?

-What is the outcome when you obey even reluctantly? How is that different from when you chose to follow your own will?

Each practice will be uploaded to YouTube the night before.

Is it perfect? Nope. Is it the masterpiece I planned with a beautiful backdrop? Not at all! 14 minutes into the first video, unknown to me, my phone overheated and quit recording. I redid the entire flow (where in the heat I was stressed and not perfectly embodied -causing my form to be questionable in puppy pose). In another practice the wind blows my mat around. I even loose my balance in crescent lunge trying to gaze at the sky.😬 Did I miss a few helpful cues? Of course.

But I didn’t let fear paralyze me. I showed up. Authentic. Imperfect. Knowing I still have so much to learn. I didn’t overthink it. I wrote it, I reread it, I recorded it, and it’s out. Did I learn a few things along the way? Yes! Both about the process, and cueing. Will it help me grow? Absolutely! Did I step out and into something that was on my heart? Yup!

So I’m going to celebrate! Celebrate with me!
