🚨 NOTICE: PHON D SUTTON RECREATION SITE CLOSURE 🚨
The Phon D Sutton Recreation Site will be closed Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7 due to the fire.
Please plan accordingly and expect delays along the Salt River during this time.
🔥 Reminder: A fire ban remains in effect. For everyone's safety, please do not build campfires or use any prohibited fire-producing devices while visiting the area.
Thank you for your cooperation and helping us keep the Salt River Recreation Area safe and enjoyable for all visitors.

Take note! Boulder at Canyon closed Monday and Tuesdays through winter for maintenance
The Tonto National Forest has issued a closure order for the Boulder Day Use Recreation Area. The site will be closed every Monday and Tuesday from Nov. 24, 2025, through Feb. 4, 2026, unless rescinded.
This temporary closure is necessary to protect public health and safety while State Fire Crews remove hazardous and overgrown vegetation within the area.

FYI Closure notice for Granite Recreation parking lot...
The Tonto National Forest will issue a closure order for the Granite Reef Recreation Site beginning Monday, November 24, 2025, through May 15, 2026, unless rescinded.
The purpose of this closure order is to expand the parking area, accommodate additional vehicles and reduce unsafe traffic conditions. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative recreation sites within the Tonto National Forest until improvements are complete.
