Join us for a Cereal Box drive to support House of Refuge here in Mesa, AZ. This is a great organization that helps so many people in our community. From now until June 30th, we will be collecting boxes of cereal to donate to them and the residents. Bring us a box or two of your favorite cereals, and we will drop them all off.

New window decals are on. Getting ready for the new space 8-1-26!

Our new location promotional cards are in! We will be handing these out to local businesses and people in the area of our new space. Grand opening 8-1-2026, 9333 E Apache Trail, Mesa, AZ 85207. Share with your friends and family!

The new t-shirts are in. I will have them at the dojo tomorrow. If you want one let me know. I have enough that all students should be able to get at least one.

Tonight we promoted a great student, someone who came to us after years and years between training. @chiefbeez was promoted to Camo Belt. Let me explain the story. We made a decision at On The Rock Martial Arts that all green belts will wear a camo belt with the battle field cross (fallen memorial) embroidered on it. Why you may ask. Well Sifu Franks son Alex was a OKO green belt and to honor him the decision was made that no student will wear a solid green belt. Instead the camo belt is to honor Alex, his life and his service. So congratulations to Derek on becoming the first of many camo belts here at the school. Derek we are proud of all your hard work, dedication, and can do attitude! Job well done sir! @oko_kajukenbo

Today we remember and honor the fallen hero’s who stepped up to serve this great country. As we do this we remember who we lost this year while serving as a United States Marine. He was Sifu Frank’s son, a Kajukenbo Green Belt, Marine and an awesome young man. He will most definitely be missed, but we honor him and all the fallen.

We are so thankful to have some amazing black belts at this school who love teaching and passing on their knowledge. Thank you and John for all you do.
