Letting my goalkeepers explore, experiment and problem solve is a huge part of my methodology.
In games they have to be confident in their decision making because unlike field players, they don’t have a coach next to them telling them what to do and when to do it.

With Try-Out season upon us it’s important to remember a few things! Keep these tips in mind when making your decisions, and always always remember this is Youth Soccer. Have Fun, Smile, Play with Joy and Work Hard … re-evaluate your situation if one of these are missing 😀

Full circle moment !
Thursday I will host another Club side GK Wars! I started this tradition in 2016, my first leading the Goalkeeping Program at Gilbert Arsenal. Looking back on these photos and I’m still in contact with many of these Goalkeepers.
Some are preparing to Graduate High School other Graduate College and then we have those who are new professionals in the work place! One thing in common, all great human beings ❤️
It’s a great reminder of meaningfulness behind coaching youth, focus on the bigger picture because 99% of us will go pro in something other than sport.
